Not to promote Walmart, but doggone - Just last week, I hand carried in 4 new tires that I bought online into Wally and they mounted, balanced, and installed for $9.76/ea, and I get a lifetime balance and rotation. Came to $52 OTD with new valve stems.

My $0.02 I like the big mugs too, but they weigh a ton empty. Add 20 oz and yer pumping 3 or 4 pounds. Ya Ahnold drank like this I'm sure. I had a nice lightweight copper mug (held maybe 16oz) for years. It was great - immediately took on the temperature of the beer or coke and stayed nice for much longer than glass. I don't remember the price - probably more than glass. Easily engraved. Just a suggestion to ponder, thanks, PK.

IIRC, ChefTim did this to one if his Subes. Haven't heard from him in way too long a time r/ PK. -

Like this, maybe? Ken, I think it's highly probable that Subaru will not like the USMB logo, and we may open pandora's box by confronting them with it. Maybe it is time for a WCCS logo - thoughts? -

I'm not a PTO lawyer, but I'm giving my $0.04. Most companys have a "fair use" clause in the protection of their trademark. As an example, it allows Sportsmart to advertise Nike equipment in newspapers etc, using their swoosh. However, Sportsmart is not endorsing Nike, nor is Nike sponsoring Sportsmart. It is just a mutual use agreement that promotes both companies. For the hats, the error in our ways right now is that no one has included the "registered" trademark symbol (circle R) next to the word Subaru. On my website, I use the Subaru name and logo with the circle R. By including it in a phrase, I do not imply that Subaru is sponsoring or endorsing me. I am just marketing to a specific vehicle; the same as if I were selling floormats to fit Subaru vehicles. IMHO, using the word "SUBARU" alone at the top of the hat is implying that Subaru is endorsing. Even if you include the circle R. However, again IMHO, I would see it as fair use if you put "WEST COAST" at the top, and "SUBARU SHOW 8" at the bottom, including the circle R after SUBARU. As far as the logo - perhaps using the USMB version is safest. This is not legal advice, just a darn good opinion . r/ PK (I really doubt Subaru will flinch over losing royalties from 200 hats, LOL, and the remotest possibility is you'll get a cease and desist letter - and you say okay.) -
Keep in mind, you can keep your plates for life - that is, you keep the plates (if you want) when you sell a vehicle and you can move them to any vehicle for a mere $10 transfer fee. So you might want to get a plate not specific to say "GL10" since sooner or later you'll probably have a WRX or something, and you may want the same plates for it. R/ PK

Typical NorthWest fun Tell Zap to bring a fistfull of OZi stickers. Enjoy, r/ PK. -
Hello All, I was doing some go-fast stuff tonight ~ 7k in 1st and 2nd, and after successfully defending Subaru's honor, I now have those three lights staying on. Everything seems to run fine, maybe a little high idle. I let it sit for two hours and started and stopped a few times, but the lights stay on. What happened? I am thinking I spun the alternator too fast and crippled it? I will disconnect the battery for a while tomorrow to see if it clears. Anyone with similar symptoms? or suggestions? Thanks in advance. r/ PK p.s. It's my 1993 Legacy SS 5 speed.

Great clean-up job Tex/Chris. I was shooting strictly for the posters with this. I see there is now a hat thread (Junkies' right), and then there is probably another need for beer mug etchings... mmmm beer. While I first thought it's time to have an official WCSS logo (but who am I to think, LOL), recognizable by standardized color, font, and style/shape... I now rather prefer the idea of getting people involved each year with an opportunity to do something different, while in some way retaining "WCSS" in their effort. There's a lot of talent on the USMB. My $0.02 -
Yeah buddy, new bling for the locals.

Lifting up the rear end a little
P K replied to Pooparu's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Like Brats and Wagons, there should be a rear torsion bar bolt to adjust. Pop the rear seat up or it may be in the hatch area, remove rubber plug to expose the bolt in the center of the vehicle, above the rear torsion bar. It's best to jack the car up to take the load off while you adjust. Good luck. r/ PK. -
Just sent them now. Sorry for delay. r/ PK

Thanks much! My goal this year is to approach immediate availablility. I am on target to actually put a couple extra kits on the shelf. But I digress and stop before this thread moves into sales pitches. r/ PK.

Yes, a 3" or 4" lift is nearly identical to most any EA82 lift kit. Easily done. r/PK BYB Lift Kits

{Thanks Zap} Tin S - It's one of ours. We did a couple batches of aluminum kits but they were pricey, so we went back to steel. Now that steel prices have gone ballistic, we are doing more in aluminum too. No advantage to either really. Not much weight savings and both are over-built and guaranteed. Hope you downloaded the instructions, if not I will email. I will get stickers out to all - no worries. thanks, r/ PK.

Suberdave, I would request that you take this down please and email the pdf, as I was going to do. Thank you. v/r PK.
