  1. I have 26" tires. They are 14" but just to give you an idea. They are Wintermark Radial HT's pretty cheap tire, but they have held up very good so far, I have had them for 3 years now.
  2. Moving the top of the strut towards the engine
  3. It will look good with the rear end lifted a little though. But man, that's awesome!! So when is it gonna be done?? Any idea? I really can't wait to see pics and videos of this thing in action! Great job!
  4. wholy crap, that thing is a monster!! Looks good though. What else needs to be done?
  5. I know when I dropped my front crossmember 2" on my brat i used one out of an outback
  6. Do not buy reman axles for your car. They do not last and many times are bad right out of the box. If you can get new ones, get them!!
  7. So you are putting the 4.44 diff into the front of the tranny? How's that working for ya?
  8. Those look very nice!!! And nice wagon as well!
  9. Yeah you guys got really good prices!! There is one near me right now that is the white color(can't remember the actual paint name) and it is selling for 7500
  10. AFAIK the manifold is in the way. Yes mostly the thermostat but I think it's also the intake manifold. But I guess the only way to find out is to try fitting it. I know that mine was well worth the custom bracketry! I love my ps!!
  11. Mine was 8000! But that's what happens up here in Maine, any decent Subaru especially one like this goes for more money. Here's mine
  12. just tear them off, it's the best way to never have to deal with them again! And unless you park in tall grass after the motor has been running a while than you'll never have to worry about a fire
  13. Yup mine is Durania's twin with a few mods!!
  14. Actually that's what I was told, use Subaru OEM STI head gaskets and they should be stronger and bump up the compression ratio a little for more torque. I will be doing mine within the next 2 months
  15. Nice! So we are up to three BRP 2.5RS now! I and Durania have the 2 dr coupe models!! You'll love it, just watch the head gaskets!
  16. If they weren't done by a shop and Subaru head gaskets weren't used than they could have just failed again. It seems to be in very good condition other than the leaking head gaskets. And the main reason I said they had been done before is because of the painted intake, and it looks like the gaskets aren't original, but I'm not positive on that. I have heard of some people changing their head gaskets several times during the life of their 2.5 and it's because they don't use Subaru gaskets
  17. 13X,XXX, but they have been done before I got the car. When I bought it, I could see the newish head gaskets and someone actually painted the intake manifold and it looks just like an STI intake manifold(actually done very nicely)
  18. I'll try to take pics. Yeah After seeing the pics that you linked to, I am not nearly as scared as I was. The ones that I have done are the DOHC and they are much more complicated. You have to remove a lot more parts to take the heads off. So I am a little more confident. So will this timing belt kit work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-Subaru-Baja-Legacy-Outback-2-5-SOHC-Timing-Belt-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem260329307923QQitemZ260329307923QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  19. Thanks, I have a friend who has all the tools, so I'm all set when it comes to pulling the motor and working on it!
  20. Ok will this kit work?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-Subaru-Baja-Legacy-Outback-2-5-SOHC-Timing-Belt-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a0Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem260329307923QQitemZ260329307923QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
  21. Yes SOHC. I will be pulling the motor, just because I would be more comfortable doing it that way. So I hate to ask but could you possibly get me a link to the kit that you get off ebay that fits my car. I can get a discount off the Subaru stuff from the dealer so that helps. I appreciate the help!
  22. So what should I get for tensioners etc.? Where can I get them? What part numbers? Do I need the whole tensioner or just the tensioner pulley? And did you look at the link I posted? I want to know if those are OEM Subaru gaskets? Also do I just ask for an oil pump gasket and seal and cam seals at the local NAPA? Or do I have to get those from Subaru as well? Thanks I guess at this point if someone could just give me a complete list of what I will need, that would be great! Sorry for being a pain!
  23. If someone has pics of the process, that would be awesome!!
