New car!!
Alright so a.little bit of an update. I have it all lifted now. I just did a 2". I used flat bar in the rear, and I used blocks in the front. It still has the little stock tires on it right now,but I will soon be putting my 15" Pug alloys on it with some bigger tires. Here are some pics!! I want to thank TheBeastIDrive for a bunch of interior parts, Jibs for the rear discs that I will be eventually installing, and Thecarman for the GL-10 trunk spoiler.

Markus56 getting lifted!!
I just did this lift on my new sedan!! It works great and it's incredibly easy to make and especially install! I didn't even need to remove the strut!! Just drop the top down, and then put block in from the top and bolt in place, all from the top!! Thanks for the idea!! I'll post pics soon in my other thread

Who Likes It? Any Ideas on What to do Next?
bratman18 replied to EVOthis's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI really like it!! Very nice and clean. I think your car with that much power should eat that chevy! I've seen it happen a lot. The chevy is still quite a bit heavier than your Rex. And all wheel drive, even if he had slicks on, I think yours would have a better launch.

Pathetic request for shop pics
I work in my driveway as well. I do have a shed with all my tools and spare parts in it, but yup, I use a piece of plywood to lie on and usually still end up getting muddy and dirty. Doesn't stop me though

How to change left hand stop/brake light on 1994 Subaru Impreza?
bratman18 replied to sub_dont_touch's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYes, it's in the trunk. Peel back the interior plastic/carpet and there will be an access panel

Anyone ever make a tool
I made one as well for an EA82. I used a steel rod with a steel cylinder that slid on the rod, with a flat piece on the end to keep the cylinder on the rod. I then welded two axle nuts on the end and those thread on the axle and then you just slide the weight and pull the new axle through the hub!

2008 oil filter?
bratman18 replied to uniberp's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIf you mean a oil filter wrench, they make one that bends straight down so it fits in tight areas. I have one and it works great. I'm sure a lot of them do that. I would think it would fit, but I guess you might just have to try it first. Or maybe someone else has already tried and will chime in. Good luck!!

2008 oil filter?
bratman18 replied to uniberp's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThey should fit. Most of the newer oil filters are a lot smaller and there was a recent thread on this. All in all, it's the same basic motor that has been in there all along so they should all fit eachother

Not a happy camper...new motor blues
bratman18 replied to SubiPilot's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAll my Subarus leak oil. Even when I replace seals etc. they start leaking soon after, and that's the way every Suby I've seen is. Natural rust proofing for the front end:lol:. I have to take that back, my Brat is freshly resealed and isn't leaking yet, but I also have no driven it much yet, so just give it time!

I did some "mods" to my car today.
That's what I was thinking! If I had some spare parts I'd send 'em your way. It wouldn't take much to make it look complete again.

Got a new Copper/Brass radiator from rockauto, $50!
You don't have to do anything to those fittings. Tranny fluid flows in there and since you don't have an auto, there will be nothing flowing through those. At the same time, if you wanted to plug them you could

fuel hoses for ej18 or ej22
bratman18 replied to hebrewhammer's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIIRC just put the ones that reach, to where they reach to. Yeah that was a little confusing. That should work though. Unless someone jumps in with a pic though

Will WRX rims and 205/55/16 fit on a 96 OBS?
bratman18 replied to Bigbusa's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI have run that size tire and have no issues. It is the factory size on an RS.

How Can I tell EJ22...
bratman18 replied to pearlm30's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThere is a difference in the heads. You'll notice the plugs are located differently between the two(or mine was). 97 and up is interference I believe

bratman18 replied to Bigbusa's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX$100! That's a good deal. I'd love to have a set of these. They are always so expensive
