  1. That is just your rear sway bar, or anti-roll bar, if you will. it helps reduce body roll in cornering. you might want to clean up the rust on it and recoat it. that or get an upgraded bar. the aftermarket bars tend to have a positive effect on handling and seem to hold up well to the elements. at least from what i have seen,
  2. would have been nice if my rx had some of the features this car has, like the adjustable suspension and headlight washers.
  3. i too am curious. i have a 3rd eye light for my brat and will need to figure it out when the time comes.
  4. we look forward to seeing the pics. we are a bunch of car nerds here.
  5. it looks like the rx we got here, but i havent seen one with the height control suspension. the badges are interesting, but i couldnt tell you if they are original or added on by a previous owner. those wheels also look different from any that i have seen on a subaru. i wonder if it might have been a demo car or a display/team car for subaru..... interesting.
  6. welcome to the club. thats a good looking sedan. i like the rims as well.

  8. i havent seen many that come with seals.
  9. looking good!
  10. i got in a fight with a hitachi from an ea81...... hate that carb, lol. also the reason i am doing a wrx conversion on my brat, lol.
  11. good luck, i know issues like this can be frustrating. i had something like this with a carburetor a few years back. that is also why i dont like carbs now, lol/.
  12. your brat is looking great. keep it up, i cant wait to see it finished.
  13. i wish i could bring the brat down, i would love to make it down to the beach again. the brat is basically a rolling shell at the moment, need to get the wrx swap done in it. i am definitely down for a pint or two. Same goes if you wonder back up this way, lol. i dont really go to bars too often, but i know a few decent places for a good beer, maybe some steak or burgers as well, lol.
  14. ill toss my project inot the thread, granted, im nowhere near done yet. hoping by this summer though... Owner- subyrally Body- 85 BRAT Engine- 2002 WRX- EJ20 Trans- 2002 WRX Other- 2002 WRX front suspension and x-member. 2008+ WRX Rear suspension. LSD unit from an 86 RX. AccessPort ecu tuner. Headers, 3" turbo back exhaust, TurboXS fuel rails, Deatchworks injectors, stage 2 clutch, 2000 rs seats, and im sure there is more... should be fun once i get it all put together.
  15. nice brat. welcome to the club
  16. good luck, this one has me stumped. then again, electronics arent my strong point either. have you tried swapping in another 95 ecu? probably wouldnt cost too much from a junk yard.
  17. welcome to the club! How is Va Beach these days? it is my home town, but i moved to maryland in 97 if you ever feel like taking a trip to weld on a subaru. let me know, i have a 1985 brat that needs some fabrication work done, lol.
  18. love your hatch. i also really like the brush guard you have on it. welcome to the club!
  19. nice, looked like you were doing well in that clip, lol.
  20. Hey everyone, anyone know who this is in the video? its about 16:45 into the video, lifted, red, rx sedan with pugs. btw, the "my life as a rallyist" is a pretty cool series. 6 videos following the guy that filmed it. worth the watching.
  21. being LED, i doubt it will get nearly hot enough to cause any damage o the cover.
