  1. looks like you had a good run, time to let it rest, but perhapse its loss can ensure that others stay on the road/
  2. the newer cars are ok in snow and ice, but i still prefer the old school cars in snow, then again, it could also be that my impreza is an auto and the rx was a 5 spd. then again, the rx will out handle the impreza, stock for stock.
  3. not 100% but i think that is either called the rain gutter, or its just weatherstripping. should be easy to get from a dealer, but they might be pricey. if there are any imprezas in your local salvage yard, its a good chance youll find a replacement part. just be careful removing it.
  4. simple, the difference is that the agx struts are adjustable, 8 points in the rear and 4 up front. the gr2's are you basic replacement strut, about 20% better dampening than stock from what i remember though. i have used both options on my cars, my 86rxhad the gr2 bits since thats the best i could find for it and my 00 impreza has the agx setup on it. i really like kyb suspension, they tend to hold up really well through abuse and what not and the agx line makes spirited driving that much better. if you have the option and the money, the kyb agx struts are definatly the way to go, but i would reccomend getting better springs than the stockers with them. might as well upgrade while you have it all apart. also, if you go with the agx bits, id reccomend all four corners at once.
  5. that was funny.
  6. id reccomend the subaru over a mazda anyday. just take your time with rust repair and be careful. i pulled up the sound deadening material from the floor of mine and there is a lot more rust there than i thought. granted, the rest of it is actually in pretty good shape, just a little bit of rust near the rear bumper and the rockers are toast. it might take work, but i know thebrat will bring more happiness in the long run.
  7. from what i remember, carbs run on less than 8-9 psi, where as fuel injection runs off of 30-100psi depending on set ups,but for the ea82, the mpfi injectors run at 36psi, im not sure about the spfi though, but i would imagine that its not low pressure like a carbed system. im sure someone with a bit more knowledge of the ea81 will be able to chime in sometime. i am still figuring out the ea81 myself.
  8. gl10 pump will put out too much pressure if its going onto a carbed engine.
  9. looks like you guys are having way too much fun down there. i cant wait to se the finished results, its going to be nuts.
  10. thats adorable, lol:lol: my dog would most likely eat my manuals.
  11. something wrong with your camera man, the right side of all those pics are blurred/
  12. dont forget to crack the heads, lets the coolant out to cool the manifolds, right?
  13. now we need to find footage of the oldschool subaru rally cars, like the rx and such.
  14. hmmm, maybe we should also set up a centralia meet too.
  15. isnt mount carmel right down the road from centrilia? that place was nuts.
  16. hate to say it, but yeah, its everywhere, but still friggin sweet video. now i only hope that my brat will turn out as cool when i am done.
  17. i swear by seamfom, its good stuff. we ran it in my friend's 90 toyota camry with about 225k in it, smoked like none other, but burned tires at the first intersection, lol.
  18. spiffyness, definatly would like to check that out sometime,
  19. well, i could start the poke the penguin part of it, at least there is a flash for that http://www2.gamesville.lycos.com/html_poke/poke_penguin.htm
  20. owww, my liver im going to look into historic tags for it, since its over 20 years old i can get em now and they lower insurance rates and no emmisions inspections!!!
  21. the ea82t isnt so bad if you take your time and do it right, but where is the fun in that. id like to play with an ea81t, that could be some fun.
  22. eh, its nopt my car anymore, lol, i should tell my friend about that i guess.
  23. possibly, but i think that my girlfriend is going to get the temporary registration on it this week. but i really need to call the number on the sitation and apologize to the guy l eft a very angry message with at the city. the whole feeling like crap from chemo and then having that sprung on me, yeah, i blew up and got pissed and left a rather tude message on dude's voicemail. thats totally not who i am or what i am about, verymuch out of charactor for me. i usually just break stuff around me, i never go off on anyone, i hate chemo, its changed me, and i blame the drugs.
  24. dont encourage him, he is a lot bigger than me, it hurts when he pokes the timmy:dead: on a more irritating note, the city of frederick has declaired my brat to be an abandoned vehicle since its not tagged and thus an eye sore that must either be registered or removed in 10 days. god i hate frederick, at least the city. looks like if i can manage to get temp tags, aka, transfer the registration form the rx to the brat, ill have 30 days to get the rust repaired to get the car past inspection. i can do a bit of the work in the driveway, but when it comes to the point of removing the entire floor on the driver side will take some help.
