what they do in (what used to be) club and pro rally is that they permanently remove them if they are dedicated rally cars if not then they would disconnect them another note wear a open face helmet when wearing a helmet is required or you feel like wearing one cause of there are now warnings about that with closed face helmets and airbags and the possible damage caused by that arrangement to the jaw and lower face

just make sure when you do that brian to have someone at a body shop or something roll a bead into the ends so that the hoses have something to "hook" to when also using hoseclamps -

Key thing (an my friends are learning this with his hella 600's) is don't use the wiring and relays that come with most kits and also those glowing switches like you mention, I usualy go with 12 guage wire for the lights and wire them in 2's with a relay for each set and also a switch for each set also and when turning them on don't turn them on at the same time but turn them on in 1-2 second intervals so you don't bog down the alt.

it is available online and S'ko just to warn ya that I heard this from a guy that used to live down there that was at the rallyX up here this last weekend that they usualy run on gravel and also is usualy a industrial waste area so be careful for the LARGE propane tanks and hiway cains it's alot different up here they usualy try to stay away from places like that as for the rulebook you can find it here: http://www.scca.com/_filelibrary/File/2005rallycrossrules.pdf it is a PDF so have the correct software to view it

well depends on how fast you drive but at 65 from frys it's about 30-45 min approx and backroads the way I drive it's about 1 hr from where I sit so basicaly it would take me about an hour via 205-5 and driving directions via freeway? haha it's easy head south untill you see the Brooks exit take it (Pilot is right there) turn right then 100 yards right again and there you are very simple don't ya think? oops forgot to mention and for the other way I would recommend you stopping by my house or I meet you at the hotel/motel if your staying at woodburn and hope you can keep up cause of I have gotten a few people lost around that area reall easily considering I used to live down there and stuff

what year is your subie? -
yeah just don't look for mine but next rallyX the ABS will be OFF! and also I know the surface for the next one very well and the dirt content also considering when i was alot younger working across the street from it and also having a friend as caretaker there kinda helps too hehe oh and if your wondering what I am talking about (besides Ed and I think Ken considering they knew about it 2 years ago when I brought it up to the ORG board) but it is going to be just north of Salem in Brooks at Antique Powerland and this time the site is JUST OFF THE FREEWAY WOOHOO! and also if I want to warm up I know of a special way to get there without even using any freeway from Portland hehe and it's roads I know and love considering they are the ones that taught me how to make a car handle in twisties hehe heck the backroads around there and from Salem to Mount Angel are so familiar to me I can get anyone lost if I wanted to hehe

yeah like 20 ft. of air on some of those flyin chunks it was a blast learned a few new things about the OBS including removing the ABS fuse before even running but hey I did improve my time on the 3rd run with the ABS off oh and for those who didn't know I do now have a digi cam and did take some pics of a NICE Mk1 Escort RS 2000 that was there along with alot of subies untill the batt died but as soon as I resize them and clean them up I will try to find a way to post them so beware and also the majority was open class cause friends that took pics during PGT only took a few of my car and that was it
