  1. There is a board member in Germany named Kai, Kai@kados.de, cannot recall his board name but he seems to have access to many cars and parts. A very nice gentleman to deal with as well. Welcome!
  2. I didn't look too close but I'm skeptical. Just curious if anybody knows anything about this... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7918413412&category=46100
  3. The tensioner has a plug on the bottom, remove the plug and with a small screwdriver you can turn a little screw inside and colapse it. The is a holder to hold it in that position but you can improvise.
  4. Jason, Make a couple PB&J's, put $5 worth of gas in your car and get your rump roast over there!
  5. Leave the Brat in the garage and stack the furniture in the back. Good luck!
  6. Hello, this is a great place for technical help. There are a few guys in your area, Subarujunkie for one. Welcome aboard. XSNRG
  7. It takes about 2.5/3 hours to get down there. If I wasn't driving the motorhome, I would go through Randle via highway 12 and then straight south through the woods to Hood River, we came back that way last year and it was fun. Zap, Qman, do you use CB or FRS radios?
  8. I'm down, I'll be ready at 06:30 and would like to get there early too. My service crew and I can pitch in when we get there. Qman knows where I live, on the way, right next to the freeway.
  9. The brat is articulating! More than I can say for the Hummer.
  10. Stock would be the best way to go for emissions, I'm pretty sure any EA82 exhaust will work on it. After emissions, you can gut the cats and put a high flow muffler on, that's the cheapest route for performance if you don't want to go the full custom route.
  11. I'll be leaving Olympia Friday morning. Not sure what time but might be a similar schedule to Zap's. I'm driving the motorhome so probably won't drive over 60/65, not sure if anybody wants to drive that slow.
  12. Are you talking mid 70's? I have a '84 2 door hardtop coupe that is 4wd.
  13. Both my hatches have rust too, sorry and good luck.
  14. In '89 there was the XT6 and the XT GL available. XT6 was 2wd or 4wd, 5 speed or auto. Both 4wd were FT. XT GL was available only with MPFI, 2wd or 4wd, selective 5speed or Ft auto.
  15. I have a crossmember in Washington...I only mention this cause shipping might be spendy:-)
  16. chalkmarks and jack stands are a lot easier than pulling an axle...:-)
  17. Yep a '83 Subaru station wagon beat an armada of WRX's (including an STi) with many thousands of dollars of mods to win second place...nice work Matt! Excellent work Brat pilots!!! BTW, I'm sure I saw the PDX guy snapping photos there.
  18. You can pull the acces panel inside the bed and get to at least two of the plastic clips and squeeze them with pliers to remove...less chance they will break.
