  1. Longview ain't bad...at least it's not in Oregon!
  2. Likewise Russ, enjoyed meeting you and seeing all the cool stuff you've done to your car. I can't wait to get those parts from you on my car...THANKS!!! And thanks for the tech tips, you really know your shiat!
  3. Here's the gold RS wheels... http://bbs.legacycentral.org/viewtopic.php?t=19411
  4. 280hp would be nice... I think black would be cool, thought about that...
  5. There is a guy selling a set of gold RS wheels like mine right now for $425/offer, it was on legacycentral I think. I checked all the Subaru boards, classifieds adds, asked my friends, etc, etc, etc... Especially the WRX wheels can be had pretty resonable since there are a lot of cars and many upgrade the wheels. The RS wheels are a little more because they are 7" wide vs 6.5"
  6. You guys are a lot of help!!! I like 'em both too. The wheel are 16" I actually think I like the WRX's better on the SS but I may run them on my RX and run the golds on the SS.
  7. My new toy is a '91 Legacy Sport Sedan 5MT. I had made up my mind that I would go from my RX, GL and XT-6 directly to a '95+ impreza line. My plan was to completely skip the Legacy line, then I laid my eyes on this beauty. The stock wheels were ugly so I picked up a couple sets and can't decide which ones I like. Open to any opnions or ideas.
  8. Stolen from NASIOC... http://www3.telus.net/duarpa/subaru_vaaks.wmv
  9. I bought a EA82 turbo from CCR and it is fine. Good price and excellent service too. If you decide to sell the car rather than fix it, drop me a PM.
  10. Are you logging the pre RX turbo coupes? I know the answer is no but had to ask :-) I do have at least one new RX that's not on you list I'll get the VIN to you later.
  11. Got your PM...the soonest I could get over there is next weekend and I can't garantee that. I don't think they are going anywhere, they've been there for 6 months.
  12. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/80s/wheels2/enkei-sun.jpg Wheels look to be in average condition. I know they've been there awhile might get a few bucks off. I only looked at the one on top but can look closer next time I'm there.
  13. Near the Olympia Airport. There are three '87 turbo wagons, two still have the disc brakes. The way they price things it comes to about $85 for everything. Also there is a set of H mags and tires for $95 and a set of after market gold and silver basket weave Enkeis for the 4x140, with tires for $100.
  14. Yes, the wonderful thing about the F/T D/R is that the low range is geared so it perfectly splits the gears and makes a ten speed and, as said, always in the sweet spot. There are aways those times when driving agressively, powering out of a corner or blasting uphill and the gearing is a little high but shifting down a gear is too much, drop it in low range and pick up a quick 500 RPM. I love tooling around town on wet pavement in my RX in low range. A little quicker off the line too...
  15. I found some GR-2 rear struts for a 2WD legacy, will they work on AWD? What is the difference? I couldn't find detailed info in the FSM. Thanks
  16. Cool pics...I forgot how much snow was up there...beautiful!!!
  17. Jeez Moosens, your just a little too eager to please!
  18. It was FUUUUUUUNNNN!!!! Cool people and cool cars. 84SOOB, EZAP and I went on a long drifting mission, if you've never drifted through fresh powder, I suggest you try it. Can't wait till next year!!!
  19. Over my dead body, Baccaruda! I will not allow YOU to treat OUR wagon like that!!! I was Rally Crossing my RX and happened to look at the tach...7,500RPM! I didn't realize I turned it that fast, I try to keep at less than 6,000, it's hard tell by ear with the stock exhaust. It pulls real hard from 3,000 to 7,500.
  20. Sorry, lost track of this thread. As a follow up to our conversation, yes, interested. I'll try to come early today and see it. Can you PM your address? Thanks
  21. ---I'm copying my response from another thread, not sure if interested parties got to see it or not--- Well, I finally got out the extremly acurate and reliable 25# postage scale. I found out right away that my bath scale is NOT acurate! I weighed every loose wheel I have and they are listed below. lbs ozs 10 11.4 Enkei alloy 11 05.8 EA81 8 spoke alloy 11 13.2 EA81 4 spoke alloy 13 01.4 EA82 Rally alloy 13 09.8 EA81 Magnum alloy 13 15.8 EA82 H alloy 14 12.8 EA82 Standard steel 15 05.6 EA82 White spoke 15 12.0 EA81 White spoke 17 12.2 14 x 5.5 Pug steel Enkei still wins but they are not 6lbs, sorry :-( ---Damn $5 bath scale!!!--- I wonder if this means I weigh 350 lbs!
  22. I think the 2500+ only applies to the '85 RX and part of that can be attributed to the lack of power steering, not sure what else they else they added to the later models to increase the weight 100+ pounds.
  23. Those are cool cars, I have an '88 wagon and have owned two other '88 wagons and a '87 sedan, all FT 4wd, diff lock, LSD, etc, etc, etc...They are pretty rare, I had a window sticker for one, they were around $18,000, a lot for a car in 1988!
  24. I'm pretty sure the '84 FSM covers the turbo. They come up on ebay at good prices, someone here may have one.
