I can't find my slip, I'm sure it will turn up. I think they were around 225 dirty (guessing), and all were 240-242 cleaned (remember for sure).

The Truth about RX Turbo Fuel Injector Flow Rates
XSNRG replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
The ones I sent in were random injectors from a couple different, non RX, turbo intakes, I found 4 that matched and looked good. I think all the turbo injectors are the same, N/A may be different? -
The Truth about RX Turbo Fuel Injector Flow Rates

$115 including shipping. My car wouldn't idle right and was running very rich. I also did a basic tune up including O2 sensor and PVC (OEM) valve. The car runs and idles perfect now and absolutely no hesitation or surging. I did also remove and sand all the grounding points :-/ -later, I'm going to add some additional grounding wires. -
Just grab a couple of N/A axles and a 3.9 rear diff, your in business. I did this swap on a '86 turbo 5mt (baccarudas car now) and it is a direct bolt in, the harness even plugs in for back up lights.

xt6 rack=yes electric=no I used the stock RX pump and it works fine. Noticably quicker the the RX rack, bolted right on, RX tie rods.

The Truth about RX Turbo Fuel Injector Flow Rates
XSNRG replied to Myxalplyx's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I recently had a set done, mine tested around 240. I only had 1 dripping, you had three, your car must of run like shiat. It seemed to help my car a lot but i did some other stuff at the same time so it's hard for me to gauge the improvement BUT I'm convinced it was worthwhile and have urged others to d it as well...money well spent. It took about an hour to carefuly swap the cleaned ones in. -
I made some mods to my RX and it runs great now. I was discouraged with the lack of low end and general lack of power so I did the following: Subspeed downpipe and 2.5 exhaust RC Engineering cleaned/balanced injectors new O2 sensor new PVC valve new cap/rotor/plugs high flow air filter removed intake muffler MBC I expected to be disapointed, that there would be no perceptable difference BUT much to my surprize, the cars is unbelievable now. Pulls very hard now through most of the RPM range in every gear, a real EA82 monster now!!! I also made some suspension mods: 20mm rear sway bar super pro bushings GR-2 struts white line rack bushings the handling is AWESOME! much like the go-cart I had when I was a kid. And some interior mods: new speakers boost gauge stripped everything but the front seats, door panels, dash And some exterior mods: removed the body kit and added mud flaps modified the grille I'm going to finish the rear Saturday, bushings, struts and springs. I had a cylinder that was not firing (loose injector plug) which led to a leakdown test check, a different cylinder is leaking into the coolant, I've supected it for some time, it has been running ok but I don't know how long that will last...so, I have another low mileage engine and a rebuilt set of gen III heads, I'm going to spend some time matching the ports where the intake and heads come together and slap it in with a XT-6 clutch.

Hi I'm new---'84 Brat and '01 Outback

The early soobs do get a lt of road noise, being a smaler car, smaller engine, they couldn't weigh them down with a lot of sound deadening material. Welcome aboard, what part of Washington are you in? -

Anyone coming from Portland OR to Seattle?
XSNRG replied to Qman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
If there is any extra room I have four clean wheels, no tires coming from Portland to Olympia. They should be there this week coming from Garner via John. I was thinking about asking Ed if he will be down that way. -
Here's another issue...Rally America is considering a rule where new teams would have to have a certtain numer of rallys in a low powered car before they would earn a license for a high powered car. I was thinking about a N/A 2.2 Imp and then convert later to a turbo. I'm not sure where they are with the new rule but we would need to be sure about that.

I think this is true in rallyx but in stage rally I'm thinking the codriver is the most important person along with the service crew (which very well might be the driver and codriver) I say this only because the driving is just driving but the codriver needs to be good with mapping and timing is critical. The Brats are impressive in rallyx. The RX has responded well to the mods I've done, I would like to do more. I'll have all the bushing and camber plates installed this weekend. Should tighten things up a bit.

Yes, I'm serious but it may be season after next...I have money but not as much as I should, I need to budget over time for the build. In open class, you can do all of the things your talking about, I have a list of mods similar to that I've been contemplating for a couple years now. I recently shifted over to the idea of using an Imp just cause there are tons of used (and new) bolt on parts out there. I agree a RX with a EJT would be a spectacle to behold, a literal fire breathing dragon. I think the early Imp is not much heavier than an RX but I not sure. Cost is always an issue. A rally like OT is expensive but there are lots of other rallys that are not as much, like the club rallys ($250) and the rally sprints ($60). Also, SCCA is developing a stadium rally format.

Yes the pipe is on, I love it. I also did the standard tune up, sent my injectors to RC Engineering and had them cleaned and balanced, added a boost controller. I can't beleive the difference, it's feels like the power doubled. The car really works awesome for rallyx, I got second in the first race beating 30 or so WRX's, RS', etc... I'm currently instaling the Super Pro bushings and some other handling mods, should improve the handling for the next race. I missed first by 10 seconds over three races so I'm hoping with the suspension mods I can get closer to first, I only need to improve my time by 3% (much of this can be attributed to the driver).
