  1. Yes '85 4wd should have adjustable, not sure about '86. The front sheet metal, bumper, lights will interchange, front seats and dash will, everything underneath the car will, but that's about it, everything from the front seats back and from the doors back is different on the coupe. The windshield is about 1" longer than the sedan or wagon, doors are different, rear seat and all the back trimming are, the rear bumper is unique to the coupe.
  2. I think I'll buy it and then take all my vacations in Australia!
  3. Well, I finally got out the extremly acurate and reliable 25# postage scale. I found out right away that my bath scale is NOT acurate! I weighed every loose wheel I have and they are listed below. lbs ozs 10 11.4 Enkei alloy 11 05.8 EA81 8 spoke alloy 11 13.2 EA81 4 spoke alloy 13 01.4 EA82 Rally alloy 13 09.8 EA81 Magnum alloy 13 15.8 EA82 H alloy 14 12.8 EA82 Standard steel 15 05.6 EA82 White spoke 15 12.0 EA81 White spoke 17 12.2 14 x 5.5 Pug steel Enkei still wins but they are not 6lbs, sorry :-( ---Damn $5 bath scale!!!--- I wonder if this means I weigh 350 lbs!
  4. With the car jacked up, make sure the axle is fully seated in the bearings, place the rotor on, cone washer, washer, nut. Tighten the big nut to 145#, if you can't get 145# in the air, lower the car for the last few pounds but make sure everything is properly seated first. If the cotter pin does not line up, tighten the nut a bit more until it does.
  5. Am I the only one that noticed he said "4AT Dual Range"?
  6. I need that to go with my YELLOW '78 Brat!!! Name your price...Doh, did I say that out loud???
  7. I weighed wheels awhile back on my bath scale. I'm not sure about the results but this is what I got. I weighed a h alloy and a steel wheel at about 10lbs each and an Enkei at 6lbs. I have a 25lb mail scale now and I'm thinking about weighing on that if I get a few spare minutes.
  8. Going down the road in my 91 Loyale in third gear the tach read around 4000rpm at 65mph. Is this right? It is clearly shifting twice. 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Could the tach be off? Should the trans be doing something different? Does it have a works trans with 4:11 gears?
  9. Caboo, that's good info above. Of all the turbo cars I've had, all had the long pump BUT the pulley will tell you for sure. Stamped pulley with holes = long pump, cast pulley with holes and studs = short pump.
  10. The XT-6 rack is quicker than the XT...don't know if it will fit but it should. I was thinking it might be good to use the XT-6 pump too. Might be a power saving feature?
  11. Nice car styles...I like the coupes. The coupe windshield is an inch longer than the sedan or wagon. Also be careful removing the trim, it's hard to find.
  12. Maybe the compression would be higher if it was crammed up rguyvers as**hole.
  13. Hey Garner! Looks like fun...I'd drive down for that. Nice pica! What is EESSC?
  14. I won't need to get a drill bit or hack saw...I have a full machine shop:-)
  15. That's a '70? I always thought that was the works version of the '74 GSR. This is the first time I saw the rear shot, I see the RX emblem. Is it 4wd? Is that a A/C compressor? Some thing just make you wonder why. I would trade my house for that thing!
  16. Actually that should read: RX COUPES came only in white from '87.5 to '89 and Black (optional or only???) for the last half '89. BUT In '85 through '87 RX sedans were available in most colors and probably all colors.
  17. The beauty of the RX trans is the low range nearly perfectly splits each gear. For example, the RPM gaps between each gear is about 1000RPM (5th is a little more, I think), the difference in the low range is 500 RPM. So you can split any gear in half if needed to keep the EA82 in it's power range. It's also nice for getting of the line...
  18. Is the tranny any good? I need a good one for my turbo coupe, and the front axles.
  19. Yep, this is my first lift. However, my brother did lift a Gen I Brat 8" back in the early 80's. He also custom built his own 15" wheels by using centers out of 4 spares and welding new rims on. I didn't help but did follow his progress. That was the first lifted soob I was aware of. We were reminising about the project awhile back and when I told him Peugot made 15" wheels that bolt on, he just said Hmmmm...
  20. I have a '88 EA82 SPFI Dual Range Wagon it's going on.
  21. I got home form work today and there was a package by the door. I looked down and I saw the return label said P.K. Davis!!! I opened the box up to see one of the new generation, solid aluminum lift kits. It looks really awesome I can't wait to install it. I'll post up some pics when done...Thanks PK!!!
  22. I've had a few T's, most seem to be around 24 mpg, various mileage from 40k to 240k...
