  1. Great pics!!! Hopefully I will have a few to post after the X-Mas Tree Run!!
  2. Sounds like a plan then! Lets see if we can get a buffet going here! I will bring my BBQ grill, hotdogs, and buns! I will start the list below so if people want to reference whats being brought. I will update it as people PM me or I see it on the thread. I would prefer to just cook hotdogs on the grill. I am extremely cautious about cooking red meat for other people. Would prefer not to, due to possible red meat issues. Sorry. MMMMMMMMM.......I am getting hungary!! I will also be bringing a 300W/115V Power inverter in my car in case anyone needs to use it for charging anything!! Buffet items being brought so far by members: 300 Watt/ 115 V Power Inverter with 2 sockets Portable BBQ Grill Hot dogs Hot dog buns Cobbler Camp stove, Tables. pop-ups Cookies Soft drinks Trash bags Pies!
  3. Extremly pissed I cant find a deal like that up here right now!!! LOL. Great find!
  4. What really cracks me up is when those guys hit a patch of ice right in front of you and throw themselves into a ditch! Had it happen about 3 years ago in my 90 Legacy! I just slowly drove by laughing at the guy in his huge Suburban. He took out both the front and rear end!
  5. Like I always tell people, my Subaru will take any Porsche, BMW, Mercedes or Honda from 0-60 no problem! It just has to be raining or snowing! Lol:banana:
  6. Should I help out and bring some more wood? How about bringing my portable BBQ grille and firing up alot of hot dogs? Anyone interested in that?
  7. Very, very cool pics! I love seeing Subies from other places and how they differ in modding styles! Great pics!
  8. I was able to soak them overnight in WD40 and they are moving freely now! Since I already installed the new wheels cylinders I am going to just run the drum brakes until I can get the set-up for the disc swap.
  9. Ok, I was doing the rear brakes today on my 86 GL wagon 4X4 and when taking them apart noticed that the strut adjuster in between the shoes was basically impossible to move. Actually I tried as hard as I could I was not able to make it pivot or adjust. Are they supposed to be this stiff? I didnt put them back on yet because I was affraid that if I did and they didnt adjust that I would possible blow my new wheel cylinders. Can anyone shed some light on this for me to ease my mind? I hope they are supposed to be like that because not one store in town sells the drum kit with the adjuster included! Any info would be great! Thanks -Chad-
  10. WOW! Very cool piece of original Subaru equipment! -Chad-
  11. I would have to say stay away from the plastic seats. Even with the covers they are hard as hell on the back and rump roast just like One Eye described. I had a set in my old Ramcharger and took them out after 2 days of use! You should try those neoprene seat covers. I have never used them but heard good things. Just an idea.
  12. I have to agree. I had a little Kia Spectra and I beat that little thing and it just kept going. I kept up on the normal maint. but it stayed strong for 250,000 miles.
  13. Thanks alot for the welcomes everyone! I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can at the run!! Same to you Breeke! Looking forward to meeting up!
  14. Good to know! My wifes 97 LHS has horribly faded headlamps. I will definately give this a try!
  15. Hey SoobieDoo, Just wanted to say thanks for posting this question a while back. I just got on and was about to ask the same question when I saw yours. Now I know what to pack and the tips and tricks! Thanks everyone for answering SoobieDoos post! Saved me time and let me know exactly what I need.
  16. Hey everyone, name is Chad and I just joined the forum about a month ago! I have a 1986 Subaru GL 4X4 Wagon. My first Subaru was a 90 Legacy AWD. So far im loving the site! I am doing my first Subaru run ever next month with the Hatch Patrol X-Mas Tree Run! Cant wait to meet everyone that shows! I am glad to see a forum that is also into the old school Subies and doesnt shun them like I have found on many of the other forums and sites. Again, I am really glad to be a part of USMB and I am totally pumped about the run next month!! Later:banana:
  17. Just got finished rebuidling the brake system and installing brand new windshield. Also re-did the interior with pull-a-part pieces. Body work and more to come in the spring.
