stupid axle nuts...
It sounds like the splines in the hub have gone bad. Pull off the hub and take a look, if they spines come to a sharp point then they are bad. From what I remember there should be about .040" to .060" of flat across the the top of the splines.

Attn: Fellow RallyXers
Am I getting screwed over or am I blowing out of proportion the new ORG rule stating that 4wd vehicles can no-longer compete in production. I can't run my wagon in the Lt.Truck/SUV class and now I can't compete in the production class where I was somewhat competive. erg:banghead: http://p066.ezboard.com/foregonregionsccafrm17.showMessage?topicID=21.topic

Rear diff
The correct rear diff for a d/r 4speed is a 3.9 and the correct rear diff for a EA81 4wd Auto is a 3.7; you may have a misslabled rear diff if you're not binding with the current setup.

87 GL turbo is steaming coolant
There is a coolant hose that runs under the turbo, you'll either need to pull the turbo to get at it from the engine compartment. The other option is to drop the downpipe and go in from under the car.

New Toy......(Pics Added)
This would depend on what richie means by new toy. If it's new as in it's finally together and ready to play with then I say it the SVX with the 5-speed swap that he's been working on. If it's something he just bought well my guess is.... an 85-86 RX Sedan

82 BRAT wont move?
I had loosened up the clutch cable until it had about 1/4 inch of play at the release fork in both directions so I doubt that completely disconnecting it will help.

Hey, everyone here is giving you the information from US market repair manuals including the factory manuals from subaru. Oh if you have an EA82 then it's a 1800cc engine and it also has the same 1.0-1.1mm plug gap as I mentioned earlier.

Boost sensor on a carbed EA82?
If I remember right that's a part of the high altitude compensation system. The part itself is basicaly a Absolute pressure sensor. It probably says boost on it because one of the other Japanese auto makers originaly designed it to be use as a boost sensor.

Differences between '86 and "88 turbo distributer
You really need a 85 - 86 turbo distributor. The other 2 wires you refer to hook up to the knock control system.
