  1. Anything that works to turn the caliper in. You don't push the caliper in with a clamp or press type tool it screws into the caliper. I have used a pipe with notches recessed in it for years and that works good or there is a cube tool that most auto parts stores sell.
  2. I think it makes it a little ugly but if it adds functionality for you then its worth it. I personally like the open bed, rollbar and seats in the back look the best.
  3. My old Lenses say IPF on them. Never did any digging to see what "brand" that was.
  4. Should be able to do either side, all the part numbers on my systems are just front or rear for anything before 84. I didn't know they used to be an insert without the perch on the 80-84, I knew they were for the prior generations.
  5. The Ea82 turbocharger, uppipe and downpipe would swap in, much easier to find one of those.
  6. Front struts are adjustable or not and you cant switch the inserts the brackets are all welded to the strut assembly. Adjusters shown below in the photo, if they aren't adjustable they just don't have that. I believe the 4wd ones have a different height for the lower perch but I haven't taken the time to get them all side by side before. I believe a 233024 from KYB is going to work on any 4wd but remaining units that I can order are not adjustable. $60/ea
  7. I found a socket that works ok, its an Evercraft 776-9179. It only has 2 notches instead of 4 but it works. If anybody needs one let me know I can try ordering more.
  8. Its a cool car but I don't think the video is very impressive.
  9. Tried pushing the dent out yet?
  10. Its kindof a pain. If you pay attention to how it comes out of the speedo head while unrouting it and are careful with the threaded end its pretty easy. Allow an hour for it and be happy if it takes 20 minutes.
  11. You have managed to install all the kinds that I know of that are habitual clickers so far. I will PM you some pricing on good axles.

That's such a great year. I love the photo!
  13. I remember seeing it in the driveway very shortly after he got it with a hole cut in the bed/rusted out and the gas tank removed maybe? I knew he was up to "no good" in a good way with the look he gave me when I asked him what his "fix" for that was going to be. Heck its a completely different vehicle from when he got featured in Subiesport even and back then it was awesome.
  14. Cool! Post the photo you loaded up to Facebook!
  15. There is only room to do that on the lower side. The upper tank doesn't have enough room. I would start with a new one and have a shop put new one in unless you are good at Brazing.
  16. Usually a little fluid in the speedo cable itself. The seal in the transmission lets it suck up into the speedo head.
  17. Autozone has one that works you can rent it for Free/$25 and take it back to get money back.
  18. Pretty sure its just 4 bolts that are accessed from under the car. Should be 14MM bolt heads.
  19. I will say, 14 at once is pretty "smart."
  20. The place I crush cars at will remove the wheels at the yard for me. Might inquire on that.
  21. I did one years ago, I recall taking the rear compartment lid open and having to drill thru in specific spots thru the tunnel of the frame but it may have been a different brand. I wouldn't sweat it, just start removing the bumper, remove the bolts securing the hitch and make a few notes of how it was.
  22. Larry has done a bunch of these swaps. Ill watch but I haven't had time to hit a yard in weeks.
  23. Is there a part that would make the car run strange only about around 52-55 MPH and above? At 45-50MPH its completely normal above that it surges and feels really weird like a sensor or something is angry. Doesn't matter what gear or how hard you drive it just seems to be speed related. Could I just unplug the ECM to see if its there or would a bunch of the other parts/sensors not work? I have always avoided this system and would just 'put a weber on' but the owner isnt going to like that idea and is very gas mileage orientated. The car is ea81 sedan FWD 5spd manual.
