  1. Welcome to the board. Indeed there is a wealth of info here. Look around, especially at the USRM and the archives. Become familiar with hte search function - it's a quick way to access a lot of useful knowledge.
  2. It just does it for shock value, Ed. It's onwe of those drama queen instruments.
  3. Have you ever been to Georgia? I'm not harping on it as a place, but the time I spent there (over 25 years ago, in the Army) was pretty eye-opening. Racism was still pretty rampant. Rednecks (not the new in vogue type of today - real rednecks, "I'm gonna kick yer rump roast"-type rednecks) ruled the roost, and if you had an accent different than the good old boys, you were a target fer an rump roast-whoopin. Myself, I'd pass, but that's based on my past experiences there. You may have a blast.
  4. Oh, you're talking about snow. With the title of this thread, I thought maybe you were bragging about something... never mind.
  5. See the other post. On the 11th of December, it will be a full year since you took my money. How about paying me back?
  6. John, I see you've been on the board several times lately, but no response to me. No PM's, no telephone calls. no e-mails, and most importantly, no effort in repaying your debt to me. If you paid me $100 a month - that's $25 a week) you'd be debt-free on 7 months and one week. And I can work with about any repayment plan, but no repayment on a debt that will be a year old in 10 days is unacceptable. I thought I would do you a favor and help you out at Christmas time last year, and now it's a year later and this is how you show your grattitude? I,too, have a family to support, and kids to buy presents for. Show a little honesty and send me some money. Start paying off your debt.
  7. What you're looking for is commonly refered to as a bra.
  8. The most common swap is a 2.2 and a d/r ea82 tranny with adapter plate. Then you're more than ready for off-roading. But if you plan to stay on the road, why not try a wrx engine?
  9. It sure would be a welcomed sign of good faith to receive some type of repayment. The 11th of December will mark a full year. What say, John?
  10. Ok Mick, do tell, do tell. How did the boomerang return?
  11. You guys have too much fun.
  12. The left rear on the xt6 was banging like a teenager, so I pulled it, and when I dropped the rear diff, the passenger's side fell apart - 2 pieces. The only problem is that there are no replacements in the state. I ended up having to order from the factory down south and have them shipped up 2nd day air (ouch). My xt6 will sit on jack stands in the garagew for a week - I'm now stuck driving a 97 Ford f-150. It's just not the same.
  13. Is your Brat a gen 1 or gen 2 Brat. And try posting in English. It's hard to make out what you're saying.
  14. And hey, welcome to the board.
  15. It could be crud in the carb. There is a spring that activates the idle and if the port to the idle mixture is crudded up, the spring can not release the piston to activate the fuel flow for idling. You might try cleaning the carb.
  16. Excellent news, ED. It's all of the good kahrma.
  17. I don't know about any other design, but he charged me $720 for 2 bumpers for my Brat. The only problem is that after 11 months of waiting for them, I got tired of waiting and now want my money back. And I haven't received a dime of that yet, either.
  18. Nice action pics. Hey Adam, how do you think the Stryker vehicles will do in mud? Send us some pics if you can.
  19. The early Legacies are "strong like bull" - they (the 2,2's) are very reliable and get excellent gas mileage. They're not prone to leaks like the ea series.
  20. Is Michigan now on the West Coast? Heck, let's make it Alaska - then it would be a long drive for everyone (well, almost everyone).
  21. Sorry to hear that, Ed. I hope it has just gone for a joy ride and is recovered intact.
  22. Is this the 2.2 or the 2.5 engine? If you can determine it's not the fuel system, try doing a compression check. That may tell you something.
  23. John thanks for the response. Keep me posted. You have my paypal account info.
  24. Welcome to the board. You should meet another board member: Hondasucks.
  25. You still don't have Miles Fox's record beat. He drives on the rim for miles and miles.
