Welcome to the board. You should have an ea81 (1.8 liter motor). Check the castings on top of the engine block. It sounds like you might have a timing problem, but if it starts and runs fine when it's cold, it might be carburation and vacuum related issues.

You can put almost anything into it if you are willing to modify the seat rails under them, or make extensions to make them fit. Check the usrm for plans.
