Sealing Coolant Pipe
I bought an o- ring the same size... the reason it appears flat is because it has been in there waaay too long lol! It's supposed to actually be round.. >tip < I put a film of grease inside the pump neck and the ring that helps it slide/pop in.. otherwise it will roll out of the groove.. I do this a couple times to make sure it's seated.. no RTV!!

Heater problems (Update) help 1992 loyale
Probably still air trapped in the system... Jack up the front or park on a steep hill or ramps whatever the case -the radiator neck needs to be Higher than the Heater core- run the rpms up to alteast 2,000 and keep squeezing the top hose a little bit at a time until the coolant drops... when it gets up to normal operating temp:thermostat starts to open; you may have to rhis episode a couple hundred thousand times 'Just kidding' fill up the radiator slowly lower rpms to about 1,000 if and when it stops belching air past the fluid you should be full..put the cap on, fill recovery tank to full, ya dont want air getting back in the system and you should be good = that's what I did/do... perhaps your radiator is clogging up.. I only say that because I bought a junkyard radiator it worked fairly well for the winter and put out minimum heat.. but when the summer came... I had overheating issues plus it bad bad bad for the water pump!

93 Loyale Starting Issue
Personally by reading your first post in this thread... 1. I think either the mass air flow is disconnected and/or not working properly. 2. The intake tube is not connected to the port/carb. I once tried starting with out it connected after doing some work and it turned over started and immediately died unless I completely connected everything back together.. Other than changing out the brain and throttle body is a whole nother story.. Just My✌cents from experience

Ea82 overheated / head gasket question
I borrowed out my ea82.. got it back with a blown intake and head gasket.. it was pushing exhaust into the cooling system... they had it for the entire month of July 2 years ago.. they ran straight water for coolant.. Whereas for me I drove it to work to find out I had a major problem... 17 miles to work and then 17 miles home 17+17 = 34ish miles on blazing pegged redhot!! I sanded by hand the heads and replaced the head gaskets, flushed cooling system and put in a new radiator... new oem thermostat, still have the Dawgmobile... I will Never! Borrow my car out to anyone ever again! now matter how long if known them!! Very very tough motor!! Still rolling at 283,000 miles and still get about 25 mpg And again thanks for help of the members here Dave T/ Grossgary and a few others... Here's my story... - -> http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/155547-my-compression-test-resultsea82/?do=findComment&comment=1332752

Poor Heater
The only thing I have noticed is on the passenger side, lower heater vent, I feel a separate stream of cold air. Mind you the car is parked and not moving, engine temp is 1/4 up from bottom. I cant figure out what is wrong. Why would I feel some cold air in addition to the heat. Is this the problem? = i think it mix freah air..Is this normal? =probably Any thoughts?? -->The heat does not seem to be that hot, as it was in the past. × I got that same cool air flow from somewhere on the passenger side, did a full flush new radiator/re- core the way I see it and a new OEM thermostat from the dealer... the weirdness I got going on is... while flying down the freeway for about 10 mins I have the upper defrost vents blowing and it will automatically switch to bilev even though the switch is still upper defrost... oooEEooo!! Lol !!

Identify this hanging sensor under my car?
Oh well crap! I miss read! Yea.. just one sensor screws into the top corner inside the catalytic converter... the Wire Broke off the sensor!! Lol ! That's most likely a ground wire for what who knows...powersteering fluid level? Brake fluid resivor senor? wipers work?.. battery taking a charge? should be up about 13.0 when idling and 13.6 to 14 maybe fluctuating... could be a regulator/resistor... follow that wire!! Ha ha ha! Let us know!

Identify this hanging sensor under my car?
I would say if that wire is plugged into another wire it would be your O2 sensor.. which in turn could possibly make the check engine light come on... the sensor screws into the catalytic converter on the exhaust.. but I see power steering hoses and I don't remember mine having a bracket ... hmm..

my newly acquired 1990 loyale 2wd
I wouldn't know but others would I'm sure... I personally would find a 4wd chassis... if ya want 4wd I have yet to see a 4wd automatic... and for lifts there are many of write ups.. lowering engine mount to keep axles from premature failure etc.. lots go into lifts... but don't let me detour you from your vision

93 loyale cel code 35?
That is the Purge control solenoid... code 3 blinks the 5 fast blinks there should be 2 little ones they they are black cubes in front on the elbow for the thermostat... one or both either failed or the hoses broke or are not plugged in...

93 loyale lack of power and hesitation
Timing could be off, plug wires loose or not replaced in correct order.. did you do the seals yourself? If not the mechanic could have not understood the technique us Subaru owners know about replacing the timing belts when they reinstalled them.
