  1. Nice score, Some times it's the little touches that make a car nice!
  2. If you have spinners on your car don't you have to wear one of those "propeller" beanie hats too?
  3. Whatever is on sale! Any name brand oil meets or exceeds your cars requirements. If a brand is recommended in your owners manual, it's bought and paid for! I change my oil when it's dirty not when the people selling it tell me to!
  4. I have one too, I have always found it to be accurate.

I spray to get mud off! ....not on?
  6. Welcome to the board! I think some of the information your looking for is available via the "Search" button. Try searching this forum for "trike" and you'll find a handfull of threads relating to this. I think any EA81 or EA82 motor has good possibilities for your application. Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  7. My Camry is doing the same thing!!! I know the motor is not shutting off when it's all the way down. I can hear it. What I have been doing is using the "manual lower" not the "auto lower" and then stopping the window just before the bottom. That way, I know the motor is off and not trying to hit the sensor and shut off-- Which is apparently messed up. Good luck, Glenn
  8. Ebay is a great place for remotes... My car didn't come with any so I got them off Ebay for $10. (then I found out my car didn't come with the factory installed keyless system) :-\ ((then I got the factory keyless off ebay)) Oh ya Welcome to the Board! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--no remotes or keys! 01 Forester--ebay remotes and keyless.
  9. If all else fails and you don't wanna replace the tank, you might try modifying the pickup inside the tank to not pull the fuel off the bottom. You'd have less usable capacity but the fuel would not be comming off the bottom of the tank. I have a little Honda 70 with the same problem, I run it on reserve to keep the crud out of the fuel system and keep the tank topped off to eliminate any moisture when it's just sitting. Having said all that, Seems like a JY tank may be easiest? Good Luck. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  10. What kind of Subie do you drive? ...and do you have any modifications planned? Welcome the the board. Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. Does anyone know what the exhaust heat shield is made of? It was doing the classic rattle thing yesterday and I was looking at it, wondering if I could weld it, to the pipe,to shut it up! Thanks, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--rattling exhaust heat shield.
  12. I think I put the socket on the bolt and then put a wobble socket extention on once the socket was inplace. Then I just ratched through the holes.
  13. UROC ProNationals is coming to St. George, Utah this weekend. I'm gonna be there supporting the RockLogic Buggies. If your going to be in the neighborhood, stop in and we will discuss the best angles for a highly modified Subaru, to attack the course http://www.uroc.com/new/schedulemoreinfo.php?selectseries=2005&more=71 Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  14. I'm wasting more than enough company hours right here!!!
  15. Could you have damaged an exhaust bracket and when you decelerate it could shift something and cause a knocking. Crawl under the car and pound on the (cold) exhaust system and see if you can replicate the noise?
  16. That's certainly going to look cool with Super Swampers tucked nicely under it Oh wait...I'm in the wrong forum
  17. When ever I go wheelin, I put all my off-road needs in crates! come-a-long, compressor, tow strap, shovel, fix-a-flat, saw...those crates are great
  18. Sounds like a Score to me! I'd even be happy to get one w/o an engine and a wirining harness :-\
  19. It would be in Subaru's best interest to come up with that sort of thing. Then issue them free of charge at the dealerships to qualified customers? It will never happen. :-\

It looks as though it would chew up dirt and snow fairly well Might be a little noisy around town...
  21. As far as I know GL and DL don't stand for anything. They are just simply trim packages available on the early 80's Subarus. DL is basicly stripped, the GL is the one with the toys. Some variants exist too. The GLF was a top of the line GL for a few years in the sedans? The GLF was functionally replaced by the GL-10 (which usually had every possible option). I have never heard of the GL-10 being available in the Hatch body style. http://www.usmb.net/gallery/album15 The brochures will tell you more. Glenn 82 GL Hummer 01 Forester L
  22. I've heard rumor that the pulley torque specks are incorrectly set out in the FSM. I understand the real torque specifications are way higher than those referenced in the FSM. If not torqued enough the pulley has a way of working it's way off. I have heard of several people welding the things on in order to get them to stay! Good Luck, Glenn
  23. Repost your question and you may get a response quicker, I'd think most people will think this is the same old farwell post and not re-read it?
  24. Thanks, I'd been looking for that picture... For inspiration..
