  1. Can a Subie run on three wheels? Before you start sending in the motorcycle pics... What I'm getting at is, on an older subie, could you pull a flat tire off and run on two fronts and one rear? Yea I'm talking in an emergency situation and not as a policy for street use... Does the Subaru Balance? Has anyone ever done it? Admit it "Miles", you've tried it. ???? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--No Spare! 01 Forester--full size flat spare...
  2. As I understood the theory of a throttle body spacer is it gave the air more time to atomize the gas and therefore give better combustion. I have often wondered the samethings about slipping a spacer under my carb. I'm waiting for some results before I monkey with it....but the possibility sure seems intruguing.... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--more power is always good 01 Forester--twice the power of "Summer"
  3. Here is a link to the site, http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/brumby_dave.html This is a link to the Subaru's they have messed with, http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/subaru_page.html I'm impressed! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester

    gnarly subaru

Love those tires.... Looks like it's setup for Arctic travel??? Be nice to know who's rig that is???
  7. I'm in with Flow, A matching spare setup would cost me $130 I just figured I'd move the small tire up front or pull an axle. There is also a remote possiblilty on balancing with 3 wheels? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  8. One Sweet Ride Clearance is there, now you just need to gear it and your set! Looking good! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--lifted! 01 Forester--wants a lift
  9. Great Pics and video Now I wanna go out and play.... Looks like nuthin but fun!!! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  10. S'ko, Your scaring me now... "Mad Max" and his friends were into welding too... I'd be careful on where you drill the holes because those jack nuts could hurt if your head happened to hit them on a bump! I have to admit I like the idea of seeing over traffic? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. Welcome, We all have to waste cyberspace. Tell us about your car"s".... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  12. Bump! I just adjusted my front all the way up and my axles are reading 14 degrees... Anyone...
  13. A ski rack may be a starting point for the gutter attachments. You may be able to build off that? You have a whole bed...why are you needing a roof rack? Go S'ko! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--roof rack 01 Forester--roof rack

    Weak Link...

Still looking to assemble a trail repair kit, Are the front and rear axles the same? Are the front and rear cups the same? Are the front and rear axle stubbs the same? Looking forward to breaking things... Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  15. Jamie has got to be the sentimental favorite for Subie People She a board member! Gotts to support a board member!
  16. I believe the 4 speeds went away in 85. After that they morphed into 5 speeds
  17. If you have the key code your dealer can cut you a new one. As for your old key, I can only be removed in the off position. A harpoon shaped tool is what I'd try first. You should be able to make one with an old tape measure and scissors. Cut the thin metal to look like a tiny harpoon. Slide it in next to the key and see if it will catch the key and pull it out. It may take a try or two... Short of that your undoing plastic to remove the ignition... Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  18. That's what i'm talking about... As I understand it, with the help of the front and rear canisters, gas vapors are recycled through this system. I don't know about emmissions? I was wondering if my car would still run right?
  19. Those poor cars.... That hurt to watch Good Score, S'ko
  20. WoW! I think the challenge has been laid down! I'd say the pressure is on! Chelanbum if you don't beat their times then you may be restricted to the "Off the Topic Section" We expect a full report! I'd say the toughest part is getting the retaining washer off the clutch pedal pin.
  21. On the vapor separator/charcoal cannister, under the hood, there are 4 hoses coming off it. One of the center ones is a return line to the (rear of the car) condenser tank then to the actual gas tank. I believe there is a one way valve in the center of the car on that line. Question; What happens if I plug that line at the cannister? If it should not be pluged, do I need a one way valve or what ever that thing was? How will this effect the running of the vehicle? I have a breather tube on the tank and I'm not worried about that end. Does any of this make sense? Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  22. In warm weather it takes 10 minutes....If you've done it before.
  23. I'm casting a vote for distributor slop! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  24. Anyone know the stock or maximum recomended angle for the axles on the classic EA81's? I used my angle-o-meter and found my fronts at 12 -13 degrees My rear axles were at 14 degrees. Where I'm going with this is, I'm lowered all the way on my adjustments and have great clearance but If i'm not going to stress the cv joints, I'd love to adjust them up Thanks, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester (Note; the buggy has less weight than the Hatch and therefore is higher even with the suspension lowered.)
