  1. Nice work,....and I though they only had white spokes or steel rims Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--custom made rims 01 Forester--factory steel rims
  2. Nope, Hill Holder is actuated off the clutch pedal E-Brake is actuated off the handle... Different animals.... Morgan beat me too it. The problem is if you want to roll back while off-roading you can't just put your clutch pedal in and roll back a little. Because when you cover your brake it will stay on and not release untill you release your clutch again this time in neutral so it won't lock up again. I'm not a fan of the HH clutch system.... Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--No HH Clutch! 01 Forester--No HH Clutch!
  3. I'd take a peak at the element and see which element comes on. The thicker element should not be on until the brake is applied. Is the thinner element comming on at all? or is it the thicker element on for both brake and park? Check your installation then check power to the park lights?
  4. Thanks for the heads up. I'll move my crap to the new gallery. I musta missed the memo too. Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  5. ***Remember*** Friends Don't Let Friends Drill Drunk! ...always drill responsibly and have a designated driller... Now I think I'm seeing double or this was posted twice
  6. I may be able to shed some light on this topic... RIMS; There are several rims that are close to Subaru's 4X140. Most notibly the 4X144. However there are NO ATV rims that will directly bolt to our lugs. Things to consider are the ATV rims were designed for a #500 - #600 vehicle. A subie on a good day is 4 times that weight. Five times on a bad day fully loaded for wheelin. Rims may fail under this weight and they are not Highway rated or street legal. The Offset of an ATV rim may also get you in trouble... TIRES; As for the ATV tire size being smaller? that is not the case. It simply depends on what size you buy. They make them in a 28X12X12 Your stock tire will measure about 22.5". http://www.rockymountainatv.com/Product_Details.atv?pid=00017587 What I did; I'm running a 6ply tire for strenght because I'm over steping the recomended weight rating on the tire. I'm also running at close to 30psi and normally you'd run 3 - 5 psi. I'm running Dirt Devil 26X12X12:brow: My Lugs are 1 1/4" deep they make them up to 2" deep Note; I have noticed the difference in gearing while running my 26's. http://usmb.net/gallery/albuo21 http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=1&sort=1&perpage=12&ppuser=584&= I also had custom rims made to insure that they would be able to handle the punishment I would be putting them up to and to insure that the offset would be proper. You can run ATV tire...! It's not easy or cheap...but it sure is fun Glenn 82 SubaruHummer--ATV tires 01 Forester--Factory tires :-\
  7. Sweet82

    RallyCross woes.

Keep your foot on the gas! Go S'ko!
  8. Welcome to the board! Tell us about your Subie? Are you old school or new or both? We love them all, it's a great place here Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  9. I like black, I think it gives vehicles a "Means Business" look to them. Lots of the Moab Rigs around here have that look to them. Sparkley rims don't look like they'ed "do the job" like a black rim.
  10. I just had to check my area... :-\ No free Subarus :-\ Now I'm sad and cheap, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  11. I'm thinkin rather than a spare, I'll just carry a bolt on "Ski"
  12. I love the Subaru Assault Vehicle (SAV) If it was me, I'd tone down the slogans, you don't want to insult any of your potential business. I'd think the vehicle it's self is advertising enough. I love it! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  13. Alan, Ya I know, I was just messin with ya... Sounds to me like you need to spend some quality time with a pair of pliers. Free is a good thing Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  14. I'm with archemitis... I'm thinking "FULL WHEEL SPEED" Those babies should be good off-road! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--Now with a new black box!!! 01 Forester--Better not need any new boxes...
  15. I thought Foresters came with LSD's? Maybe in 99 they didn't? Anyone? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--locked 01 Forester--LSD'd
  16. That's really cold man! Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester--SINGLE RANGE
  17. It made the special news bleep down here in Salt Lake, We were all waiting to see what was going to happen? The weather man says we will get real pretty sun sets for the next few days? Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  18. Full fellowship does not start until you have at least three Subies in the front yard Welcome! Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  19. LMAO! Great pics! And I thought I was nuts However, I have a confession..... I tried it last night too! I came up with the same results. and the buggy doesn't weigh that much in the back! I have to wonder if having no sway bar was a contributing factor? If it were to work I'd think you'd need a limiting strap on the opposite front wheel and a lifting strap on the brake area of the missing wheel. I think we all have too much time on our hands Glenn, 82 SubaruHummer--failed the test. 01 Forester--ain't gonna be tested.
  20. My fuel pump control unit is a Mitsubushi with a Subaru part number stamped on top of it.
  21. Hey Rat, Welcome to the board. I don't have a Brat but I speculate that any Brat in that body style should be a candidate for that cargo cover. I think the years would be 82 - 89 or later outside the U.S. Do a search in the market place forum and see if there is any activity on something like that? Good Luck, Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  22. Something's wrong here... I've got an '82 and it has the original CV's on the back not D/L's... The only D/L on that machine is from the tranny to the diff. I'm thinkin the manual is wrong Glenn 82 SubaruHummer 01 Forester
  23. NOT to be confused with, the often mistaken and rarely fit 4 X 144mm.
