87 brat feels like its going down a washboard road at 70, while going around 2 mph.
This is exactly what it would seem like. Lots of dirt lots of mud, very few washes. Will any ol u joint work? Got some out in the old garage from back when we had a beat up f150

I have some ugly half shafts back there, could that be it? Just really hoping I didn't somehow bust my rear diff. Back of the car just vibrates like an out of balance washing machine. i'm not moving more than one or two, but the vibration feels like it should be going 70

What Have You Done to your Soobie lately? (Please post in here and keep it going)
Same, all I could think about was the water separator catching on fire. However, now my horn and temp gauge work, so there's that.

I thought the brat was looking good out in the field today.

Put it out. A wire shorted and caught on fire, along the top of the firewall. As luck would have it, I just put a fire extinguisher in the car hours before. Very glad I caught it before it caught any gas on fire. Now to wash out the dust .

ea81 almost dies when floored. And alternator second bracket issue
I don't have the evap canister all the way hooked up, not sure where to plug in some of the lines. I have the vac advance hooked up to the drivers side vacuum inlet on the front of the weber. The ac bracket was broken, and I can't weld aluminum, so I only have one mounting point for the alt.

Problem has been happening since I bought the car. Whenever I go to floor it the rpm's die down a few hundred, for about one whole second, and then shoot to redline. Problem has been happening on hitachi and weber. (this is the reason I swapped). New ignition coil, wires and plugs. Cap and rotor look good, but should I replace those? This is mostly a problem in gear, letting the clutch out without having rpms at like 6k will cause the car to die. Was thinking a fluid change is in order? Maybe seafoam? When the engine is not under load it almost always only dives down, and doesn't die. Also, how are nn a/c cars' alternators attached? Just with the one bolt? I took off my a/c and that's all I ran for a little bit (hour max) but it seems to get loose too quickly and has destroyed my water pump bearing. How are yours held on? Pics are welcome Thanks -CL

Auto ej25 block for frankenmotor in manual imp.
Sounds good. Hoping some thread I read about it ending in a 13.5:1 cr that blows up after 50 miles

Auto ej25 block for frankenmotor in manual imp.
Is the bore size really an issue if bolting up the ej18 heads? Refrence: http://www.rs25.com/forums/f5/t122201-ej251-heads-inake-ej18-possible.html

Auto ej25 block for frankenmotor in manual imp.
Got a lead on one with a bad HG, reportedly never ran too hard. Any complications for bolting it up to an auto?

Tach, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges broken after weber 32/36 DGEV swap
I know where the "short" (melted when welding bumper back on) is, was wondering where the wire routes so I can splice. And she's in the shop right now, so I only have my memory to go on. The plug comes from the jumble of wires on the us passenger side, and reaches to the manifold. I have just recently replaced the coil. (worked before)

How hard is it to lock down the hub while drilling it?

Tach, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges broken after weber 32/36 DGEV swap
There's a 2 prong plug on the engine block that isn't used, would that be it? Also I melted the wire for fuel level pretty much at the tank. Any idea where that comes in at the body so I can trace it back? Thanks -CL

Towing brat, with an impreza
It'd just be around michigan to get to trails, at least until I get the turn signals working, and install a radio.

Towing brat, with an impreza
Do you guys think I could do it? Would be after a frankenmotor swap, right now I barely have enough power to pull the car itself, lol.

The reason for my "alias" scooner.
Didn't know it was ej22 swapped... This is one of my faves! Sometimes I wanna trade my brat for an 80s wagon...

Drive it for the first time in 6+ months Exhaust and then figuring out whats up with my turn signal, and finding my corner light cover, and then she will be done. I was about to give up on her too. SO glad I got my head out of my butt when it came to timing.

Solved! I had the plugs in 1 2 3 4 not 1 3 2 4 order. Darn, oh well.
