  1. 4 HOURS FROM BOOMTOWN TO TRUCKEE!!!??? Thats crazy!! I just drove over the pass twice. Drove to Reno at around 11pm-Midnight on 2/16 and drove home around 4pm on 2/17. The pass was clear. Flood hazards cause of the rain, but other than that... no problems. Glad to hear your car made the trip. -Brian
  2. I've added this article to the "Subaru Modifications" section of the USRM. -Brian
  3. Awesome, thanks Eric. So is this already set in stone? The dates and all? Im thinking of making up some flyers and such to lay on Subaru's around town. This is the 6th annual West Coast Subaru Show, correct? -Brian
  4. I will, but i'll be there anyway's. ken, is there a zip code for the area we'll be in? Will make it easier to plan the road trip. Cudo's! -Brian

  6. 2" is the upgrade. I would recommend having a Y pipe made in 2", then run the pipe out to a 2" muffer with 2.5" outlet. Would look good, and run great. Stock exhaust is 1.75", and ANY turbo muffler should fit in its place. Then make some brakets or use some chicken wire to hold the muffler in place. -Brian
  7. Here's one: Its still a baby. I believe he JUST finished the project, and got a new engine in it. After the paint job and breakin period, we'll probably see more pix of it in action. -Brian
  8. Any muffler with a 1.75" inlet will work. There's no special part number. Subaru exhaust is 1.75". -Brian
  9. I say keep looking for a '76 Subaru Wagon. -Brian
  10. There is a USMB member from Fairbanks who has a RX. dont think he comes on any more, or sold the car, or moved. Not sure. -Brian
  11. I vote for black. Here's a pic of my EA81 Wagon with Gloss Black wagon wheels: -Brian
  12. I forgot... the OBS has the 2.5 hood hehe... How about the bumpers and stuff? Also, can you get OEM rear spoilers? I like the impreza with dual rear spoilers. -Brian
  13. GLad to see John and his Bender in action. I sent some drawings to John last week for a new rear bumper, and cant wait to see it when its finished. That baja will look sweet. Lets see it again, but this time with a lift -Brian
  14. Yup, Qwest runs Oregon and Washington. The way SBC is buying everything, i would expect SBC to run he entire PNW soon. I too would make sure my friend knew everything bout the place, before he moved... but since you have friends and relatives there... you probably already know. I'll plan a trip down there next winter, we'll have to get together and do some gambling. -Brian
  15. Thinking about getting a '97 Impreza OBS, but want the hood and bumper from a 2.5RS. Will they interchange? Or can it be forced so they work? Also, how alike are the EJ22's and EJ25's?? Will performance mod's interchange as well? -Brian
  16. Northern Nevada has a ton of Subaru's. I usually drive to Reno or Carson City to visit their junkyards, cause there's on average about 20 to 30 good pickin subaru's between the 2 yards. LV on the otherhand is about 8 hours south of Here, and its in the desert. Ive visited 3 times, my grandmother lives there. I also enjoy gambling, and where else better to go than Vegas! -Brian
  17. clockwise is to advance the timing i believe. And yes, it can be done without a light, just be careful. -Brian
  18. bump your timing up alittle. The larger gap will sometimes retard the timing. -Brian
  19. So, have we planned on the 29th? Who else is thinking of showing up? -Brian
  20. The problem is, if we have a EA82T Forum, we'd need sub forums for every EA series, and then it would branch off to EJ series. And you might say "no we wont" but yes... we will. Cause justy owners will get butt-hurt that they dont have their own forum. And then the EA81 Guys would start... then the EJ guys would get wind of it, and be like "well, i dont want my SOHC EJ25 associated with the DOHC EJ25, so we need seperate forums". Then next thing you know, we have 20 forums... 4 mod's that are left to sort through 20 forums, moving topics from "Meet & greet" about their new EA81... to the EA81 forum, cause they have no idea what a EA81 is. K.I.S.S Thats what im about. If i had my way, we'd have 3 forums: 1) SUBARU'S 2) FOR SALE 3) Other Stuff There are plenty of programs and scripts available to organize a EA82T database. Also, there might be some new features in VB we dont yet know about, that will help the users organize themselfs with special projects... kinda like this. A sub-forum, im affraid, is not the answer. -Brian
  21. ITs a good idea, but if we did it for EA82T's then we might as well do it for EA81's and EA82's (which are alot more different than EA82's and EA82T's). Then it would get cluttered and would make it more confusing for newcomers who don't yet know they have a EA82T. -Brian
