  1. not to hi-jack but... which in your opinion is better for a oil pressure guage? mech or electical?
  2. glad to hear it's working out.hearing this makes the idea of doing the same swap sound more an more like a good plan.
  3. you could try opening the key fob and see if you could someway remove that pesky panic button. no button to hit the switch on the comp board inside fob,no panic alarm going off.
  4. well they attach in two ways, three large screws from the bottom and there were holes along the side for some type of plug, similar to what is used to hold door panels on. the back section must have been removed before cause it was attached using just plain screws.along with a nut & bolt near the wheel well edge.
  5. i can't believe it i just finished reading the e-mail an had to check it out for myself.if i hadn't seen this i wouldn't have believed it.people say to me,geez you have alot of miles(146,000 or so) an mines only a 94
  6. what yrs do they do emission checks in your next of the woods? i was told that 97 an newer were the only ones getting checked nothing like going BIG
  7. ok seeing this is really making me want to do that strut swap more an more, darn lack of $$$
  8. {funny thing is that i got the back an sides removed an found out that on the front part,it's part of the bumper cover.} you did see that part right, cuz right now you'd only be able to put on sides an rear.then switch out front bumper cover for a gt one.
  9. sometimes putting the key in the ignition and turning it to acc or on.on some just putting key in driversside door lock an turning it does the trick to. on the 99 avenger i had,i accidently hit the panic instead of unlock button and i shut it off by pushing panic button again. hope this helps are you asking how to prevent it from happening again(black electrical tape part)? simple don't put keys in pocket, clip them to your belt loop like i do.
  10. this is with the bottom molding off. this is with the molding on. am wondering whether or not to put it back on? maybe should of thought more but i got all gung-ho about it an didn't think.funny thing is that i got the back an sides removed an found out that on the front part,it's part of the bumper cover. ok guess not really funny in all it does make it look like theres more clearance along the sides an at the back
  11. nose nuggets are worth there weight in gold welcome to the board, enjoy your stay
  12. see thats why i love the way mine is attached,no glue just bolted to the roof.now of course it's a 94 legacy gt
  13. i think,i think i might be able to.will check let yah know.
  14. you should see how many there are here in N.H. just the other day i was out doing some driving around,in about an hours time i think i past like 30 subies. alot of legacys, outbacks an one baja i came across.while i was in next town over(in goffstown,i'm in manch) came across a nice justy.haven't seen one up close in yrs.it had sum rust but in good shape over all.
  15. if you were coming up through n.h. i'd say give me a ring if you needed help but then i noticed your goal is conn.maybe i'll just put my cell # in sig
  16. i heard this from a friend of mine that i got my legacy off of,he told me that apparently sti's gonna be getting a performance upgrade that will bring the hp output up to 380hp.thing is it's only going to england now.wasn't told full details though, will have to check with S.O.A. maybe there's more info an details there. HMMM....380hp= well i couldn't find any info about such thing, wondering if info isn't open to public an maybe just to dealerships?the friend i heard it from is friends with a couple guys that work at a couple different dealerships
  17. on my 94 legacy i always support the front end here.. it's part of front subframe, were engine mounts red circle not the yellow spot
  18. has anyone checked out the classified section on that site.there's like 8 svx's for sale. added the site to fav list.
  19. it's a monster!!!!! very awsome subie you got there. :headbang:
  20. well the way i look at it,if they don't want anything to really do with subies.their loss not ours.there are still magazine publishers out there that are just as good if not better. :-p ->4wheel & offroad mag p.s. there was one time maybe like 6-7yrs ago i was flipping through a offroader mag.they were covering a tough truck competition an what do they have a pic of?...... i believe it was a 86 brat going off one of the jumps that was on the course.came in 2nd or 3rd. can't remember which
  21. i have one in my legacy gt. sticker says interstate but also on the top is molded in the words optima battery(i know it says optima something, can't remember) also has terminals from monster cable along with a 4gauge ground but it still has stock size power an ground(goes to engine block,4 gauge goes to body) even with the really cold weather we had this last winter, only thing that slowed the start was thick oil(3 cranks then VROOM)
  22. has anyone ever tried to get their rigs pic in the readers rides section of 4wheel an offroad mag? i'd try but it would be a waste of time seeing that it hasn't really seen a trail or anything like that. it would be truly cool if someone here could get one in the mag.
  23. goose bumps!!!! just from watching could imagine if i was doing that, what would happen. "the american dream, too pitch a subie sideways on the snow"
  24. yrs back when i had my 86 gl wagon,it was sitting in my driveway over night an someone stole my tape deck:lol:.it was a pawn shop special an not to mention the buttons on the face plate stuck. after that happened,i went out an picked up my first cd player.
