  2. Electrical troubleshooting. LoadPro Guide2.pdf
  3. Driveshaft u-joints, mid bearing. How were the bushing for the rear diff?
  4. You might want to drain the gear lube, inspect it and the drain plug. Plug will have fuzz but no part #'s. Also put your finger in the trans and feel around on the bottom once drained. I'd suggest Amsoil gear lube when you fill it back up. It might give you a longer life.
  5. Thanks, I was going to see if he wanted my rear halfshafts. I hate to send them to the metal recyclers.
  6. I think it was MWE that was rebuilding halfshafts in Denver CO. He painted them blue. I'm not finding them with a google search. Anyone know if they are still in business? Thanks, Larry
  7. I have 4 rear halfshafts and 3 steering wheels that are free, you pay shipping 80919. The halfshafts are rears from 96-99 Legacy AWD. Steering wheels the foam cover is tight. If you want some, let me know. I hate to recycle them.
  8. I'd drain the diff first and check for metal... Use Amsoil when you fill it. See if the noise changes.
  9. That would cause a loss of power. Hope you didn't bend any valves!
  10. If you had bubbles in the overflow tank, most likely the HG are leaking. While it's nice to do all this other maintenance, it's most likely a waste of time and money. Make sure the fluids are all clean and topped off and start it up. Make sure the HG are not gone. If so a 2.2 swap is a good option IMHO.
  11. Yes. Go to the Amsoil site and enter your year and model info. It will list the correct fluids.
  12. I'd remove aftermarket remote start systems when I got them on used cars. They were nothing but junk. I'm sure there are good ones out there, pay for a good one.
  13. Not much help, but if you have the rear diff out, there is a code painted on the top of the housing.
  14. The four long bolts should be welded to a plate on the top. They take a bit of messing with but should drop through the diff and plate with little problem. Of course if things are bent, that could be the issue. Here's a you tube showing how it should go. Not mine but they did a pretty good job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQpnQ7l7XLo Hope it helps.
  15. Keep everything loose until they are all started. I've done several, they have all gone OK.
