  1. Credit Wayne from PDX Here mine Chris. This is the bar usually used when seats are in the rear. The low bar really restricts use.
  2. They were offered on '81-2 wagons and '82 Brats. They were operated by a switch and timer system. They only operated with the low beams. When the high beams were activated the center light would shut off automatically. It would relight after the high beams were lowered.
  3. $10.00 shipped to your door!
  4. I think you are right. Where does the line go inside the car? Have you traced it yet? I don't remember if that one had dealer or factory A/C. If dealer install it may be a vacuum line for it.
  5. Isn't that the heater control vacuum line?
  6. I own all of them! I still watch them as well. I don't need another copy but I will contribute all the same. These show the history of the Hatch Patrol from the very beginning. Buy the whole set!!!
  7. Then sell them to me.
  8. The car is cool and all but you'll enjoy the dog even more. Husky's are probably one of the most charazmatic animals ever. I have a Husky/Shepard mix. Both parents were pure. They are funny, attention hogs that will talk to you and keep you on your toes for many years to come. We love ours!
  9. If they will trade straight up then do it. 14" Scorpions can't be had in the US unless they are bought in Australia and shipped here. I only know of one other set. They are as strong as any other option and look better!
  10. The Subee independent suspension is why he drives a 'yota offroad!
  11. Gary, left vs. right, won't swap. Your axles will swap side to side. Be very careful when driving out the bearings. After they are out check very closely for any damage from removal. Repack the bearings prior to installation. Good luck!
  12. From what he described I believe he is talking about Brett from BYB. You can check here, http://www.ausubaru.com/ As far as getting 5 lug on your car check out the Dr.'s site for info on another option.
  13. He wants lug hole size, not the wheel hole size. I believe the easiest way is to buy the studs and determine the size from them. Yes, I have done this mod. One of the first to do it, actually. And yes, I am too lazy to go out to the garage and check the bit size.
  14. With new ones some times the dust coverings cn be a bit firm. All you should need to do is push them in with your hands and tighten the nuts. Sometimes I have had to use a jack but just to add enough(read slight) pressure to hold the shaft from turning. You may have the right parts but I would consider trying sa different brand if you continue to have problems. BTW, very funny (Ih8mud)
  15. I am guessing that considering the quick onset of the problem that you may have broke a ring or have a hole in a piston. A compression check should be the first thing you do.
  16. I have both. I run the Accells in my Brat's(2) and the MSD in my XT6. Never a problem with either one. The first Accell is on my big Brat and is about 20 yrs old. The second is on my little Brat and is about 2 yrs old. The MSD is about a year old. BTW, there is a huge difference between the cube Accells and the rest of them. Performance and size are the difference. The cube doesn't provide any more power really. What it does provide is more cycles. That's where the power is!!
  17. The electrical one on your car is controlled by the A/C. It only comes on when the A/C is on, either defrost or A/C modes. So, in my opinion, it's either the mechanical fan or you have a plugged coolant system. Either heater core or radiator. Just going off my personal experiences. Tough to diagnosis without seeing it.
  18. My thoughts exactly. Sorry Paul, just the first thing that pops into the the ol' head.
  19. Sounds like a fan problem. You say the fan didn't turn on until you turned the A/C on. Do you have two fans or one mechanical and one electrical? If you have one and one then the clutch fan(mechanical) is probably going bad. Not sufficiently cooling the engine and it continues to heat after you shut off the car. If you have two then the problem is a poor electrical connection or a bad sensor in the radiator. You will need to unhook the fan plugs and clean the connections real well.
  20. Good deal! Glad to help.
  21. Could be either. The engine stamp is behind the distributor on the block. It will read EA71(1600) or EA81(1800).
  22. At .040" you would be looking at a custom intake as well. The waterports on the intake will not match up corrctly to the head. Not sure of the compression. I know there is an equation for it but can't remember it.
  23. Hey Pat, give me a call. I may have another alternative for you. Ken
