  1. And the way to Crystal goes right past mine and Rob's houses!
  2. That would be a direct bolt in!
  3. Axle, cv joint to be precise!
  4. OMG!! That gives a whole new definition to a floater!! He made two mistakes. One, only as a last resort do you press the clutch pedal. Instant wet clutch. Two, once you commit, hit it!
  5. Welcome, being as it's Christmas eve and all you may want to give more than 22 minutes for an answer. We have an offroad section for questions about lifts and tires and such. There is a FAQ post at the top as well. The '85 505 will have 14" and 15" alloys available.
  6. Cool Nick, the last one doesn't work though.
  7. Good calll Mick, I was thinking the same thing. Pat, my email is in my profile. Could definitely be worth some of your gas money!
  8. Jason is off until next week. Matt can help you but Jason will be back on Monday.
  9. O2 sensor is very probable. Did you tune it up with new filters, PCV valve and plugs and wires? A bad temp sensor can also cause rich running problems as the comp thinks it is always cold or warm depending on the readings or misreadings the comp is getting. I suggest the guy in S. Seattle or Brian at Brian's Subaru in Burien. Either will cost you some more money but it will be done right.
  10. Lack of water loss would indicate the smoke is more oil than anything else. Probably valve seals. Water dripping from the tail pipe is also OK. As stated above just a product of the combustion process. As far as the Weber install. I am not sure what the problem is. The only vehicle that has had water issues from the heat tube is the EA82. The EA81's do not have an issue with leakage at this point. I have installed many Webers on my own and other people's vehicles(read, EA81's and one EA82) and have never had a problem with leaking. Good gaskets and a proper torque will eliminate this problem.

To be completely accurate, John's adapter will allow the use of a D/R 5sp behind an EJ motor in any vehicle.
  12. Which gears are you refering to?
  13. Yes, you are gringing relief to allow the LSD unit to go into the non-LSD housing. The units are shaped different. Blue locktite will work fine.
  14. You might want to try replacing the PCV valve with an OEM one and see if that helps. It may not do a thing but you never know unless you try.
  15. I don't know, I would assume so as we aren't the only ones with that type of system. Call around and check with different parts outlets.
  16. Probably not. 2 too many cylinders. Hook up an aftermarket one to verify. They adjust for the 4, 6, and 8 cylinder motors. Or hook i tup to a diagnostic scope and check the rpm's that way.
  17. Interesting, I wonder where the Justy will land too? If they aren't going to follow the multipliers then why have them? The ORG ezboard is down right now so I can't view the topic.
  18. Cool, 6 dates, I wonder if all events will be point events this year?
  19. Clarification, the strut nuts are 21mm and the rear torsion bar bolt is 19mm.
  20. The water portsare too small in the Sube to use any of the wonder cures. The sealer plugs anything "it" sees as a leak. That and you never get that stuff out. Seen many a ruined radiator from that stuff.
  21. Just follow the USRM to the letter. I have done many and I wrote the document you will be following. Use a couple of shop rags to set everything on. And make sure that the you keep the 3.90 ring gear with the 3.90 side cover/bearing races. It will keep the gear mesh correct.
  22. Take into consideration that the Outback is "Just a strut lift".
  23. I am not an advocate for deceit but... it wouldn't be any different than anyone that adds go fast parts and removes them if there is a problem later.
  24. I seem to get the best performance and mileage from Chevron. I run Supreme in all of mine though. 2 Brats and Turbo Legacy all require it.
  25. Sounds more like you need an AWD vehicle instead of 4WD. Straight line in 4WD on the pavement won't cause bind. However, anything other than straight will! 4WD is designed for conditions that cause poor traction when 4WD is needed. Unless you have extensive mods launching in 4WD will do nothing but cause unneeded wear and damage to your drivetrain.
