-
looks good brian, even tho this is the 100000th time i've seen them :-p

Yea ea82 wagon body style started in 85. thanks, its a subaru color called Harb green. Paint code 535 i believe. The black of the bedliner shows dirt pretty good, but i dont care, my car is always dirty anyway. I just love the fact that since i do a LOT of logging road driving, that rock chips dont matter
-
nah, hes running a impact wrench, filling up tires, and running air horns. Why do you have 3 compressors brian?
-
that would be awsome if i had enough money for it.
-
nice video man, looks like fun
-
From what i have heard 2" is max over there. I'm not 100% sure tho.
-
well personally, i would leave the hatch as 4x4. It is a much better canidate for offroading.
-
4 Wheel parts lists SSR's at 98.99$. Do you have a link to were you can get them for under 90$. If so, im sure a lot of people would love to get em for that price.
-
looks very very good brian. nice work
-
very well said. It doesnt only give you tire clearance, it helps a lot more on body clearance. so you dont get hung up on stumps and what not that jump out in front of you

welcome to the club man. Well, we might as well get u addicted now.. my car http://usmb.net/gallery/album280/000_0497?full=1 There are a lot cooler roo's on here than that.
-
especially when u start putting bigger tires on them:eek:
-
ok, u definatly want a 5spd or 4 sp, auto would down right suck. Atv tires would work, if you lighten youre soob a lot, and get custom wheels made like summer. as far as the ride goes, not to bad. I run bias super swampers, ride like a bat out of bell The all terrains i have ride well. Hope that helps o ya most people including myself say the ea81(pushrod) motor is a better motor
-
holy crap, btw, that first shot hulk looks like a subaru?!
-
ur car looks really beasty man. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

ditto, when you say 4" lift kit, i assume it is one from like ozified or a company? not homemade right? If ur talking nonhomade, dont worry about it. The only lift i can think of that adds excessive strain to the axles is the AA high clearance lift, but its still not horrible. Ask numbchux on that one. Home made, if u drop the rear diff down to, you will be fine.
-
dayum dude!!!! that thing is monsterous for a 4" lift. I gotta ask, how bad do those big tires hurt ur gearing? o ya, another question, how much clearance is under you're oil pan? it looks like 15" to me... :-D
-
i can answer some of these Gl and Dl are trim packages. Lift kits, if you can weld good, they arnt that hard to make. Ea81 is a Overhead valve motor, it came with 82-up brats, 80-84 wagons, and 80-up hatchs Ea82 is SOHC and came in +85 wagons. It came with a hitachi carb, SPFI, or MPFI If you are going to lift a wagon, i would suggest getting a ea81 wagon(80-84) with a dual range 4wd. Get a 4" lift from one of the few suppliers[Ozified, SJR, Allied Armament(not sure, check the group buy thread)]. Then you could run some 27" tires easily. Gearing would be ok. I wouldnt suggest going over 29" tires without a divorced T case, although some people have. At least my car does pretty well in ruts, the clearance under the diffs/skidplate is very nice. Its the body clearance that hurts us. Gotta love lifted soob look

yea go to a autoparts store, and get a can of seafoam. Trust me, it does wonders

soobmater replied to Loyale 2.7 Turbo's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Yea 200$ is pretty steep for a oil pump. I got a new one for like 100 bucks or something. but totally hit up that dude ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
