  1. Man, I'm a sucker for a good love story. Looking at LB in the garage actually brought a tear to my eye. He looks like he's happy and at home.
  2. This would be the place to go in your area. Lots of good recommendations. http://www.smart-service.com/
  3. Hey Tony, welcome to the USMB. Just to let you know, your XT6 is considered Old Gen. There are folks here that can help you, but a better site to get complete info about your car would be subaruxt.com.
  4. I think somebody forgot to tell Ed :-p
  5. Get the garage cleaned out yet? I just noticed.....he's the same color as the house :-p
  6. If my memories serve me right (which it rarely does) you would be the first to try this. You will should be able to get help from a few with the schematics, but otherwise you would be on your own. Except for the few electrical guru's here that might be able to help.
  7. Not very many have been done because of it being a PITA. You need to also find a turbo x-member, otherwise the up-pipe wont clear. You can hack it out with a sawsall, but thats a last resort. Will need to change the fuel pump for more PSI. Will also need to figure out the ECU/knock sensor and wiring harness. That one will be your biggest hurdle.
  8. Make sure everything is hooked up but the coil wire to the disty. Hold the end of the coil wire that goes to the disty and have someone crank the engine over :-p Ok, I'm being a wise a$$. Dont hold the coil wire, stick a screwdriver in the end and ground it out. If you see spark when you crank the engine, its good.
  9. Dang, I just spent the last 2 days there :-\ Wish I had known sooner.
  10. We pretty much have it pinned down to the VR. That NEC SC is the likely culprit. And yes, there's more than one cap thats leaking I havent had any time lately to source parts, but I'm not the only one looking.
  11. EA81 Hatch. I've had 2 and you cant beat the departure angle.
  12. HBD Ed! I hope to be as young as you some day soon
  13. Hey Ed, do you have to be enrolled in the school to do the RallyX on Sunday? I'm not seeing any info on the ORG site.
  14. Noooo, we are still getting SNOW :-\ We are getting tired of Winter, its supposed to be Spring
  15. I'm hoping to have my Imp ready. Getting interior parts today and a engine on Thurs
  16. Yeah, when I watch TV, its usually the Military Channel, History or History International. And Speed. A few other favorite Fighter prop planes from WW2 are the F4 Corsair, P38 Lightning, P47 Thunderbolt, ME-109, Spitfire.
  17. The shark teeth design was made famous by the Flying Tigers. It was before we declared war on Japan and we were "unofficialy" helping China out. The group was led by Claire Chennault. The design was painted on the Curtis P-40. And those are bombs painted on the rear, which isnt correct because they were fighters, not bombers.
  18. You cant use the search function on your phone? http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=85781
  19. I've been meaning to get it on a relay, but for now it runs all the time. Sometimes when working on the car and I need the ignition on, I will disconnect it. Of course, having CRS, I forgot to re-connect it once. I looked at my temp gauge running higher than normal and went .....duh:rolleyes: It def makes a difference.
  20. I have the EA81 elec fan on mine. Right now it will run (at speed) around 165deg. When the weather gets warmer and I'm in traffic it will get up to 190deg.
  21. I only need a 20oz can.......the size of my morning mocha :-p And I guess if you dont make it to any meets, you dont have to worry about gas mileage
  22. Yup had a good time. I was having old man problems (weak bladder and no bathroom:rolleyes: ) so I didnt get any of Dicks stuff. I have a feeling that these meets are going to get fewer and farther apart. I went to get gas tonight and noticed the price went up almost another .10 a gallon $3.84 for Super Soon we will be having Yaris/bike meets
  23. No, it said it was sold.
  24. I'm not even touching that one Hopefully, my bootyfab skills work and I'll be there at 1
