Turbone replied to tuner-automotive's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXIf you cant find the stuff locally and want to buy on line, I found it all on Amazon.com. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_hi/002-5242975-9947269?ie=UTF8&rs=15718791&rh=n%3A15684181%2Cn%3A15718791&page=1

Hankooks on my RX
Wow, didnt think I would get so many comments about the bra :-\ Thats on there for a reason. It covers a beat up hood, a dented right fender and other unsightly blemishes. These tires are for the street, not rallyX. I have seperate tires for that I filled in the lion emblem with JB Weld and then sanded them. If you get close enough, you can still see them. Been a relearning time for me. I've had the low profile tires on it for about a year and now I'm on the taller tires. Cant go around corners as fast as I used to:cool: And the car is dirty because I drive it everyday :-p Cant afford to wash it everyday too Where ya been Blake? Good to hear from you. Your old wagon is probably in the process of becoming another Japanese car right now

Hankooks on my RX
Got them mounted up on Monday, just took pics this morning. I had painted one of the pugs months ago and posted it here, got a good response. So I painted 3 more. I used Krylon and they have about 4 coats each. Problem with that is they take forever to dry. I had them in the house for almost 4 days and then went to clearcoat them. The 1st one I did was looking great, then the paint started crackling Flippin paint wasnt dry enough. Oh well, not stopping now Thier winter tires, ok? Cant tell unless you look real close.

Mountain Loop Highway Adventure? (east of Everirett Washington)
9 or 10am would be fine. I dont worry about hangovers any more. And heading up into the hills is my idea of going to Church

EA81 Engine dissassembly made easy
Thats how your supposed to recycle Subaru parts (AL). No different then the commercial outfits. Gets melted down and sent back to Japan, to make more Subaru's :-p I think Scott will make good use of the stuff

Ack, I would have to leave the house by at least 6:30am Not sure if I can get my boys up and ready to go by that time :-\

Why you don't beat on a RWD subie
I think thats what the last tranny in my Hatch looked like. With the divorced t-case in it, its always in rwd or 4wd. With all the hiways runs to get to where I was wheeling, it finally took it toll. Man, what awful sound when those suckers go

No more white wagon / New Project Started
I cant remember what the torque came out to, but it pulled really hard all 3 times. Wasnt it over 200? The RX is my last EA82T, not going to mess with them any more. You guys can keep playing with em, I want to RallyX next year :-p Mine will be for sale next spring

my ea82t cold and going hard
Yup....this thread is useless without pics. How do we know its even a Subaru? :-p

scads of parts that need identifying... lots of pics
I might want a pair of those headlight buckets. The one red mirror is for a XT/XT6. The 2 black seat belts are for a back seat (I think). Of course, a OEM alternator. 3rd light is for a EA81 Hatch/Sedan. I cant tell what the accordian looking thing is, unless you take a pic at a different angle. But it still looks odd :-\ You need to take some pics that are a little bit clearer :-p

That sounds like a interesting trip, one I've never done before. I guess timing is important tho. Been wanting to get together with you on a run for a while. Pick a date Mike.

Justy ECVT
How hard is it to swap a 5spd 4wd into a Justy that has the ECVT? If'n I had the complete drivetrain to go with it. Ah, ok. Just did a quick serach (duh) and it sounds like Bratsrus did a 5spd swap into a ECVT before.

"Brake" light on on cold mornings
Turbone replied to TROGDOR!'s topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe wire that comes off the cap goes to a harnees connection (I believe). I have one on my RX, dont know what yours looks like.

Pacific Import Auto Dyno day and BBQ
Speaking of green....you left your sweatshirt at my place. Better get it soon, or Brian will start wearing it (out) :-p Also been rethinking what car to dyno. I got my snowtires today for the RX and I should be getting the exhaust done in a few weeks. I have until the 1st of Dec to get it dynoed for the same price at PIA, so its really tempting to see what I have at the wheels of the RX after the upgrades.

"Brake" light on on cold mornings
Turbone replied to TROGDOR!'s topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXMy 89 RX does the same thing. I believe its just moisture in the connection. Maybe spray some WD40 or other "stuff" in and on the connection and it should be ok. I have yet to do that

Dyno run with my coupe

Dyno run with my coupe
This is his baseline. Thats it, no turbo.............yet. I'll have to wait a few eeks to get my SVX dynoed there, just to many peeps and not enough time in the day. Plus it was the first time they had a event like this and I dont think they were quite prepared for so many cars to dyno. It was almost a 1hr wait, but a 45min wait normal.

Pacific Import Auto Dyno day and BBQ
Had a beautiful sunny day for the event, couldnt ask for better. Lots of food and friends.......oh, and Soobs:headbang: Thats me, 2nd from the right. Looking taller than I really am

Rear diff mount bushing ?
Yup, thats the little bugger. But its attached to a flat plate and 4 long bolts that attaches it to the diff. All EA81 and EA82 mounts are the same

Rear diff mount bushing ?
