Hope mine looks that nice someday:D
  2. Hey, I think you beat Caleb with this one;) This is why mine is still stock. Better luck with the Leg.
  3. Ditto that. Should be proud of the work you did on the conversion. I remember all the years I lived up by BB Lake and getting stuck behind a VW bus trying to make it up the Mtn:rolleyes: There hasnt been to many times I've seen one on the road keeping up with the flow of traffic.
  4. Dont bother with the LSD. Get the rear diff welded. Just remove one rear axle when on the street. Check out my Gallery to see my Hatches. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=3&ppuser=96

DOH! What a transformation:headbang: Hey, wheres the XT?
  6. Well, it helps keep the engine from moving when you give it gas and shift. Every time you do, the torque wants to twist the engine. It also keeps the fan from going into the radiator. The vibes are from changing the dynamics of the suspension and driveline. Everything has a different angle now with the lift in. Also, when you installed the lift, you most likely disconnected the driveline. Unless you marked it, it probably isnt in the same location is was before. You can try turning the shaft 180deg on the rear yoke to see if that helps some.
  7. Coffee can. Fill with epoxy:cool: Make a hole in the side so you can see the light.

Hey, did you have that white Brat long enough to count?:-p Nice pics btw, at least they are all doing what they do best:headbang: I may have to do this myself:brow:
  9. I've owned a 86 GL-10 T-Wagon for around 5yrs now. It has about 147K on it and I just now had to do the HG's. I've hauled a trailer full of scrap metal and household stuff with no complaints from it. The GL-10 is the top of the line for all models in the 80's. The only thing that was a option for the GL-10 Turbo was the LSD rear. Get the car and enjoy.
  10. I'm jacking your thread:headbang: Never fear folks in the PNW, you will see a 89.5 black RX at WCSS8:drunk: Altho the mechanicals are all stock, its practically brand new under the hood. Plus, I've added a few cosmetic goodies that should catch everyone's eyes. So Russ, get it running good and painted soon. I want to see it sitting next to mine:brow:
  11. Are there any car washes in town? It was tough getting a car washed after the mudpit last year, would be nice if there was a self wash nearby.
  12. Dittos on the XT6.net. Lots to see and learn there. I own 2 XT6's and a XT 4wd Turbo (parts car). And your image fix still isnt working:-p Theres nothing to cut and paste either. You can go to the members gallery and setup an account there also.
  13. Maybe the wiring adapter you got from Crutchfield is not correct, or the wiring from the plug to the fuse panel is somehow wrong. I would trace the power wire back to the fuse panel if possible. Also the grounds are all common on Subaru's, the speakers need to be re-wired seperatly for them to work correctly.
  14. Looking good Dave, hope to see you and the car at the Show:headbang:
  15. I have a 86 MPFI XT Turbo in my possesion thats serpentine belted. Never had any problems with the serp belts on my 6's, just the stupid crank pulley's:rolleyes:
  16. The red XT6 belongs to Qman, he's been around for a little bit:D The other black one belongs to Mr. Radon, a regular over at XT6.net. We made a day trip up to Mt Rainier and stopped at various locations for photo ops. Cant recall what the wheels are on Qmans XT6, but they are aftermarket. Not sure what vid you watched, dont have one in my gallery. Btw, I own 2 89 black XT6's at the moment. One is for sale, soon.
  17. I would say, put a t-stat back in it. Not sure, but it might help with the backpressure. My RX runs cooler that any EA series I've ever had. The reason? No condensor/cooler in front of the rad. Mine gets to just below a 1/4 and never goes higher. Thats been verified with 2 engines.
  18. Give you a ring about 11ish to see where on I-5 your at? Should be close to 512 by then.
  19. 1. No lift needed, Brats also came with 3AT. You will need to change the radius rod plates and tranny mounts tho. 2. Yes, get a 5spd D/R for the Loyale. You will need the 2 piece driveline that comes with it. 3. Dont think the pedal boxes are the same, but might be adaptable. 4. Not sure, but I think the TC is the same. But the flexplate might be different. Easy to check tho, just slap it on and put a few bolts in. Turn the engine (by hand) and see if it rubs. 5. Dont forget the nuetral safety switchs.
  20. I need to take some more pics of the XT. It has a Mitsu TD05 in it with some hack plumbing for it. But it has potential:brow:
  21. Havent uploaded any pics in a while, thought you might enjoy some new stuff. Theres some stuff that might be useful also. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=96
  22. Lots of those to be found in Puget Sound for $1000 or less. I would try and get him down to that price range.
  23. Not true. A car can have that type of plate, its a commercial plate. The regs for bumper heigth go by GVW. So a car has 22in and a BFTruck will have a GVW thats much higher. So its bumper is can be much higher. And if you have more than 4in of body lift from the frame, its illeagal also. So my Hatch is waaaay out of the ballpark on a few on the list.
