  1. I thought it was pretty cool myself:rolleyes:
  2. Dont need struts anymore, but I could sure use the front carpet out of the sedan (grey?) or from the wagon. And if the rubber lines to the rear discs are not cut, I need those also.
  3. Bummer. Guess you will be looking far and hard for those RX fenders now, eh? I havent seen any 3dr coupes in the yards here for a while, but I'll let you know if I do. Btw, your stable looks alot like mine:D Just different colors.
  4. What kind of abuse are you subjecting it to? Water, dirt, etc? Do you lube the shaft (oops) before you put it together?
  5. Erik, come on up. Theres plenty of roads for stock stuff and there should be enough seats to ride along with someone on the gnarly stuff. I should have a seat open:brow:
  6. Like Gary said, OEM only. But, I would try and find a shop that does quality work and see if it can be rebuilt. If its substantially cheaper than new, it would be the better choice. I would think if its within $100, I would just buy a new rad. I got lucky a while back and found a newer rad in a XT6 in the local PAP and have had no probs yet.
  7. Good, then you will have time to ship my shocks:D :-p
  8. Now thats recycling:clap: Keeping 2 cars running from the death of one:headbang:
  9. I need to put my fender flares on, hopefully the other stuff not road legal wont net me to big a ticket if I get stopped:rolleyes: The winch is going to have to wait a while to be installed. Just hope I dont need it:-p
  10. Wish I could be there, HB used to be in my stomping grounds:headbang:
  11. Turbone replied to Jibs's topic in Off Road
Eh, why? You got some funky air horns or something?
  12. I make it up ther only a couple times a year, so what are the odds of me running into him? He was in the parking lot when I rolled in about 3 weeks ago:rolleyes: He even helped me look for parts and carried a few out for me:D
  13. I think Skankin Pickle lives at the Lynnwood PAP.
  14. This might be a little tough, theres not much room. After the car reaches op temp, reach down and feel the bottom of the rad. If its cold the rad is plugged. Theres a possibility the sensor in the rad is also bad.
  15. Looks like a tree at about 40-45mph.
  16. Sounds like you need to clear the old codes first like Gary said. Its normal for the fuel pump to cycle when the green conn is hooked up also. If you havent changed the fuel filter, located in the engine compartment, drivers side behind the strut tower.
  17. It is sometimes recommended that the head bolts be re-torqued. It depends on the brand of head gaskets used and the tecnique used in the original torqueing, as Torxxx mentioned. I torqued mine to 50lbs.
  18. What Gary said. You might consider changing the thermostat also.
  19. When ordering parts for yours, never go past 84. The systems get confused and will give you items for the EA82 engines. All (most) EA81 applications are the same from 81 to 84 (and some 80). Your much better off in a Hatch if your going to offroad at all. And personaly, I wouldnt buy squat from Schmucks. If they cant get it right in person at the store, I sure as heck wouldnt buy on-line.
  20. I might be able to Zap. I need to check to see if I have the right software tho. SJ, I still have the clips, I might DL them and send them to you to post (I'm out of room on my Site). Once you get the problem fixed:-p
  21. What kind of gasket are you using? It should have a metal ring on it to prevent blow outs. Also, you state there is a helicoil in the head, is this tight enough for you to get a good seal?
  22. The green connector is the Read Memory mode. The black connector is the Dealer Check mode. Use the Memory mode first to check the codes. In order to use the Dealer Check Mode you have to go thru a complex sequence . First try the Read Mem mode and get the codes and go from there. If you still have problems, I can scan the sequence for you. The same goes for clearing the codes, but there is a simpler way to do it. Just unplug the battery overnight.
  23. The ECU is under the rear dash cover on the right side, next to the speaker. I would also change the TS with a OEM one. Its cheap and just might help.
  24. Yeah Brian, thanks for the VCD:headbang: Every once in a while I break it out and take a look at it. Zap was the first thru, he took the longest because he had to find the right line. I came into the creek and ran smack into that big rock (I'm blind:cool: ) After that it wasnt to bad. Should have seen Brian move out of the way when I came launching up the other end:grin:
  25. That field tore up some cars. XSNRG broke a alloy wheel, some guy tore out his front stru/hub assembly and somebody else broke also. Gnarly stuff.
