There should be a c-clip on one end of the rod. It might be easier for you to pull the whole assembly out (once the steering column is removed).

I have the same setup, if I remember I'll take a pic tomorrow. The interior is embarrassingly dirty tho:rolleyes:

I have a small adjustable one I bought from Shmucks. Have it mounted on top of the coin tray, perfect fit and doesnt get in the way of anything. I'll try and get a pic tomorrow. Also have one that has the flexable strap, mounted thru the A/C vent. You have to pull the vent trim out and slip it in the opening. This one isnt that great, it hangs over the radio knobs and if you push the cup, it turns the radio off. But it leaves your hands free!

From the sounds of it, you might be looking at one:-\ Wheel bearings usually rumble/grind. Axles do the click/pop/rumble Trannies do the whine/grind and general gear problems.

One of the most unique cars Subaru made...........the XT. Specifically the XT6. The first 6 cylinder engine, with some many choices for a drivetrain/suspension. The first 5 lug hubs:banana: Headlight washers! (US market) And one item alot of XT owners dont even know they have, speed sensing wipers:headbang:

Wow, EM is back. You been on the road all this time? You survived the winter roads (and drivers) on the right Coast, eh? Welcome back:headbang: Strip the rusted XT6, use the parts to convert the other if you want. But it will be a tough job and not to many folks want 2wd stuff. But the 4wd running gear is as good as gold here for 5 lug swaps. XT6 2wd are pretty quick, they dont have to push all that stuff in the rear.

It would look interesting on the roof of a barn or house:brow: The fender and door are def good for parts........

Usually when a intake gasket goes the engine will hydro lock. Due to one of the cylinders filling with coolant. Check the oil to see if theres coolant in it and vice versa with the radiator. Is the car a AT?

The meet season is just getting started, Spring is here and the weather is getting better (a little), so things will be picking up. Dont cop a attitude, it might be tougher to meet people that way.

The GL-10's have a remote lock. Left side of lower dash on mine. Locks and unlocks the rear, but does not open it.

Anyone seen a key fob like this? Mick? I never have, till now.
