  1. Heres a helpful diagram taken from a manual. Notice the flywheel marks. These are not timing marks, those are a little further to the right. These are 3 marks and you line up the flywheel on the center mark. Do the drivers side first, then the passengers side.
  2. If its not to bad, take it off and use a BFH to try and straighten it out. Otherwise you need a new(old) one to replace it. If your going to get serious about off-roading, its a good idea to strengthen it.
  3. Sounds like the wires on the relay might be wrong. I used to have the wiring diagram, I know someone on the board does? Might try and wire direct to the bulb to see if its not burned out.
  4. I dont think it will come on with the high beams, thats one reason what the relay is for. Does it work with the low beams?
  5. If you are talking about the "moustache bar" that goes from mounts on each side and holds the rear diff, and its bent? Then yes, it can make the car steer different. But it would have to be bent real bad for it to do that. A piece of angle iron can be made to fit and then welded to the bar to stengthen it.
  6. No hurry on the pallets Ed. Do you remember how to get to my new/old place?
  7. I still dont have lights on the trailer and the wagon isnt running good enough to drive it that far. I'll try and get up there on Sat, Corky. And I'll bring the batteries too Ed. Darn, I miss my truck sometimes :-\
  8. I dont remember if I posted these for last years or not (yeah, CRS). But I still like them My old Hatch from a few years ago.
  9. I might look at the fine print on your paperwork to see if theres a clause that they wont be responsible for damage to the car. If not, I would charge them for material and labor. A cost sheet from a ASE shop might help.
  10. I'll let you know when Ed, I have those battery cores that you left at my place too:lol: Altho I'm not sure if I want to strap pallets on top my XT6:-\
  11. Wow, now thats a shiny floor! Sorry I missed it too, are there any parts left?
  12. If its the 3spd AT, then your going to have problems. Its just a matter of when. I would consider doing a 5spd swap or find a low(er) mileage tranny.
  13. Invest in a gasket scraper, they are less than $10. I dont think a brass bristle will harm the surface but it may take a while to clean that way.
  14. Dont know if I'm going to make it or not now. My son is performing with the Bonney Lk College of Martial Arts at Bonney Lk Days this Sat. So if I do make it, it might be later:banghead: Save me some food.........a burger would be fine;)
  15. Your shorts? Need to get some new tires, make sure they are all identical sizes. Believe it or not, Winter is just around the corner.
  16. Yes and maybe/I think so. The 86 is orange and the 87 and up is green. I think a couple of people have done the swap.
  17. Ah, c'mon Pat. I know alot of people here that have had one (or two) Soobs, that deserve that label once in a while. Me included:-p But welcome to the board, Ron. For a minute there I thought you were someone I used to work with and he actually had a Subaru at one time.
  18. I believe I have the wiring diagram also, but I need to double check.
  19. But you got dual range trannies in more Soobs than us, and didnt you also get Twin Turbo's?
  20. Gary, OZ got imported Soobs that we never got. They just might have something that was JDM that made its way there. If it was me, I would be looking into some bigger rotors to go with the larger brake calipers. I have new brakes all the way round on my XT6 and when I tap the brakes your eyes almost bug out.
  21. The fenders are easy to replace, takes about a hour each if you've never done it before. The ign lock is another story. You might try some grafite, it comes in a small tube. It might work for a little while, but eventually the lock will need to be rpelaced. You also might get lucky and find a muffler in the wrecking yard, I dont think the Troopers will let a patched one get by.
