  1. I'm looking at a EA81 FSM and they show 2 diag. The marks go up, the top ring has beveled edges, the 2nd ring has sharp edges and the oil ring either has a second ridge under the top rail or even rails, so that doesnt make a difference. Do you know the positions and gaps for the rings? I can scan the FSM and post it?
  2. Thats what I had for WCSS6, it was a 16x16 with zippered openings on all 4 sides. I ended up taking it back to WalMart and getting a refund. All the zippers broke
  3. Whatever you do, dont use dishsoap on the exterior paint. It leaches out the oils in the paint and dulls the finish.
  4. Definatly check the tag on the diff, I think it might be 4.11.
  5. I think you might have "dodged the bullet" (but not the car) so to speak. I think thats perfectly fixable. I happen to be going to Tech School just for this, and have already straightened out a 98 Dodge Intrepid on a frame rack. The only spot that looks bad is the passenger side, need to get the fender off to see if theres any frame rail damage. I have a few parts (headlights, lenses, etc) we can use, but you will have to find a front bumper, hood and right fender. Let me know if you want my help, I'm alot cheaper than a shop. And I need the expereince
  6. In order to reach full "Ultimate" status, you need to transplant a EJ20G into it (like Corky's original Ultimate)
  7. Hmmm, that sure looks like Qmans RallyX Brat Heres a little artic of my old Hatch up at Kanaskat a couple years ago.
  8. You can try and adjust the bottom latch, loosen it and drop it down some.
  9. I thought all XT6's were AWD? AT or MT. But you can select between 2wd and 4wd on the 4EAT, just pull the fuse Or if you want, rig a switch up. Plus the duty solenoid c trick too.
  10. According to Sika's web site, the main function of the WS is to keep passengers in the car. If people are belted up, this means its a secondary safety device (IMO). Being a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT for several years I have seen both sides of the WS, so to speak. I have seen what happens to people that are not belted in when a accident occurs, and its not pretty. The reason I'm saying this, is that its the seatbelts that save your life, not neccesarily the WS. Theres a chance of ejection from any window or door during a collision if you are unbelted. Indrid, your link to their site isnt correct, this is the link to thier safety page. Safety
  11. As far as I know, theres is no aftermarket pump for the EA81/82 cars. Bobby, what and where did you find that pump so cheap?
  12. Theres a strap for a latch of the bottom seat, its in the center and might be down in the crack. May have to stick your hand down there and fish around for it. The oil leakage is common for a Soob, yours could be the PS lines, try tightening them. I would also consider changing the timing belts, they need changed every 60K. Done worry about the engine if one breaks, its a non interference engine. It will just leave you stranded
  13. I was in a hurry to put a clutch in my 86 T-Wagon, so I moved the engine forward. Had to disconnect the turbo DP to do it and there wasnt enough room to get a new TOB on, just the disc. Just pull the engine, dont screw around with other techniques(IMHO)
  14. Try not to be so ungrateful when you ask a obvious question. Try and get some more sleep
  15. Vultures? I think they have bigger problems What about the driver and any passengers in the car
  16. Well, at least we know he went to a good home and will be taken care of. Maybe when times get better for you Connie, you can buy him back.
  17. I did a simple search (reading codes) and I came up with this. Check engine light demystified
  18. Explain "going through". Like, whats happening to them?
  19. I know a couple of years ago somebody here was talking about someone they knew ran a EA82 in a Score race. I tried to find it in the results, but I have a feeling it was DNF.
  20. The green connectors together for test mode. Then find the black connectors, this is the dealer check mode. Once you check these, connect both together, I think this will clear the codes. If it doesnt, just disconnect the battery overnight.
  21. Move away from the salt water Need to know exactly what broke - The seat, rail or capture/mount?
  22. He's talking about the crankshaft. If theres any irregularities on the shaft, the seal cannot do its job. If the oil was never changed in the car it would certainly put grooves on the pump shaft. Is this a crate motor?
  23. The plugs are under the steering column next to the ECU. Need to connect the green plugs to read them. ECU Codes
