  1. Pardon my yping, keyboard is messed up. I may have a working one. Get back to you tom]orrow.
  2. Seeing this is family board, I cant say what I really would like. But you get the idea
  3. Congrats from a guy thats got a wife who is almost as bad as me. I cant tell you what she had to deal with to go to WCSS6 (the ones there know). The trick is to get her a reliable Subaru thats her style. Keep it running well and she will let you do just about anything you want Soob related. A car is a real center point of everyones life, and if you have a addiction to a certain type then its even more pronounced. Women are very understanding, to a point. Just make sure you take of her needs also. I think I speak from experience, been married for 27yrs and still going strong. Morgan, I'm going to have to cry foul :-\ You said Subaru = Life. But then you say its just a hobby and you have other cars for daily drivers Redo your math....
  4. I actually didnt get meet to many new folks, met alot of them at WCSS3. But Oddcomp you were one of the new ones. Hope you didnt take to seriously some of the things I said, I tend to be a smartass when I've been out in the sun too long Hope to meet up again in the future
  5. I havent heard anyone talk about the valves and springs yet. If you upgrade the cams and have all this new OEM stuff in it, why wouldnt you put new springs/valves in also?
  6. PDXSports has pics up now also. PDX Sports
  7. Well, 2 things.... The ground goes to the front top of the drivers side head - theres a bolt that threads into it. The only way to take a pic of it is to remove the Alt. Dont feel like doing that right now. And #2, If you had come by and seen me yesterday at the show I could have shown it to you :-\ You said it was a dumb question........
  8. Adam, the only vid I have of you is when you were pulling the "other" Brat out I think thats before you started having to much fun and things started breaking
  9. I have vid of Lumpycams Brat in the pit. And another well known Brat that got stuck.....twice, with Eric pulling him out  That may cost you tho, depending on what possible bodily harm that might occur from releasing it
  10. Dude, you got to come out from under your rock more often! This was in your backyard This is going to be a hard one to top, next years planning is going to have to start soon. Talk about to many fun things to do at once. I missed a bunch of the mud pit stuff due to the RallyX, But I did get the T-Coupe in there after the Show n' Shine.Dirty T-Coupe
  11. Uh, what everyone else said Seriously tho, this had to be the best one yet. Ken and Eric did a great job and hardly (barely?) had time to have some of their own fun time. But when Ken and Eric finally get to relax at home, they will tell you how they did in the pit and RallyX. It was great to see folks met at WCSS3 again, and meet others from the board. One thing tho, you guys cant be shy about mingling and introducing yourselfs. I didnt get to chat with alot of the guys from down south, wish I could have. Btw, I just got home. Besides me, Mark M was the only one left at the Fairgrounds. When I went down to the local store, one of the guys that helped put the RallyX together was broke down. We spent over an hour there trying to fix his 86 Toyota Celica Alltrac/Turbo. He blew a coolant line to his intercooler and just couldnt fix it in the parking lot. Now if it was a Soob..... But to give him and the car some credit, he won Open Class. I got 5th
  12. Its usually the hub that gets reamed out. It happened on my first Soob - 82 GLF - changed out a axle and was unable to torque it right. I did the same thing that Snowman did, replaced the clutch and still no go. Finally I put it in gear with the wheels blocked and stepped out to see the castle nut spinning DOH!
  13. See ya Friday afternoon Ed
  14. And only when pointed uphill
  15. I could swear I looked under there and didnt see one I might have been more interested in the diff I've been trying to get a sway bar for months
  16. Caleb, it must be an option then. I have looked at several turbo's in the yard and have seen other AT's that dont have them either. Go figure
  17. Hot rodded shoebox with wheels
  18. Well then it just could be the tranny. Maybe thought it was going to nickle and dime them to death, so they got rid of it when it stopped shifting right. I wish I could look at it, but I just cant do it Stupid addiction
  19. Well, its either the engine or tranny thats bad. But considering the engine just had work done on it, who knows?
  20. I think they all say that
  21. No rear sway bar with an AT, remember? You have one in your driveway right now :-p Its too far away and not good timing tho. The motor sounds like its a possible core maybe. Is the car wrecked Ed?
  22. Yea, that also. Thanks GD Time for bed
