i went to Oreilly and bought a Air filter during my lunch for the SVX, and installed it in the parking lot. I like the quick release on the air filter box on the SVX, compared to the Legacy where you have to use a screwdriver...

A few weeks ago I replaced both rear struts on my '89 GL Touring wagon. Got tires for my 15" pugs and now I'm riding on them. but since I bought it I've also replaced the thermostat, both radiator hoses and the radiator itself.

Tomorrow for the Outback:

New tires, replace front right axle, and drain tranny grease in favor of some Redline 75/90 ns.

Got tires for my 15" pugs and now I'm riding on.

Just wondering what size tire size you went with? And,is your wagon lifted?

Good thread!

I finally got tired of smashing my knuckles into the stereo trying to get the brat in gear and fixed my shifter linkage. I've got a 5sp in the brat and for some reason didn't replace the bushings in the shift linkage before I installed it. I was having a really rough time getting it into gear. I didn't have the proper bushings, so I rigged something up with what I had in my junk box of nuts/bolts and other stuff.

I then adjusted the clutch cable and now its shifting perfectly. :banana:

I drilled some 15" 6 lug yota rims and had some used 235-75-R15 mounted on them. about 150 bucks on CL

How recent is recent?

a few weeks ago I swapped a new engine into the Beast

Then I made a new custom exhaust that never goes below any crossmembers...

Swapped an LSD and new rear axles into the Beast

Then I replaced the front struts after I broke one of the tops wheelin and replaced both front axles while I was in there

I welded the bumper mounts back onto my rusty Brat, then patched some of the larger holes in the bed...

Did a lot of welding on Robbie's car before the Subaru show...

I bought new tires, changed the oil, replaced the pass side front CV, changed trans fluid, seafoamed it, hmmm got some tapes for the tape player, and some other boring things.....

she's much happier now though.....

JunkYard starter for $25, works.

thats pretty much it, getting some things together to get it fixed to sell it

Let's see....

I washed my XT6

I recently tinted my roomate's tail lights in his '00 OBS

I've been doing some wiring, plumbing, and mucho crap on my RX

Did an oil change in my other roomate's '96 Impreza that has a '03 WRX swap in it, then did an oil change on another friend's '02 2.5TS wagon that has a '06 WRX swap.

Also been helping my roomate put a new core support on his '94 Impreza wagon rally car

My shifter bushings are Pieces of rubber fuel hose crammed in with different bolts. WORKS AWESOME!!!

Nothing special on mine.

Just installed a new GPS unit, resprayed the air box on the carby to make it look nice.

Over the past 6 months I have done:

* Seats

* Pedals

* Gear Knob

* Momo Wheel

* Pioneer Headunit + DNA Speakers

* 3" Tacho

* 3" straight pipe (No Cat) + 5" Canon Muffler (Gives it that deep boxer sound).

Planned for the next 12 Months:

* EJ22 or MPFI EA82 (can't stand the ************ economy of the carby)

* Get a new hub engineered so I can run the 5 Stud WRX rims.

* Respray engine bay.

* Fog Lights

In the last couple weeks I have:

-Reupholstered both front seats (I'll start the back seat later this week, most likely.)

-Repacked grease in the inner CV to stop it from clicking.

-Replaced the hatch lift supports. (Was tired of holding it up with my head when loading/unloading crap from the back) :lol:

i'll take some pictures after i'm done , but i'm doing a slight body restore and a complete engine on a light blue 81 hatchback . putting the engine all back together this weekend . rebuilt the carb , remanufactured heads , cam and lifters sent to delta for a repair and a little extra torque , pristine ea82 spfi pistons from jerry , had new wrist pin bushings pressed in and the rods and pistons balanced . new water pump , new oil pump , new ditributor , new alternator

(a remanufactured hitachi) and new radiator . looked at ccr's and thought i'd save a few dollars ... not by much . should be nice . oh yeah , and the obligatory fel pro permatorque head gaskets .

Today i picked up my new subaru to transfer the motor out of my current one into. The current loyale is rusted out and not worth fixing the rust, so i got a non running 94 loyale to put the motor in! $150 bucks! With CD player, and Rack and 3 alloys. Anyone locally want these wheels? Come with tires. I will post in the classifieds too.

On the 84 Brat a tune up before WCSS-11, on the 84 Hatch tires, but for the year they have been purrrring like a couple of young kittens.... Love um.

I looked at my 83 coupe as I walked by it sitting in the garage

looked at my 08 Impreza as I walked by it to go somewhere

I had to shampoo the complete interior of my 95 Legacy ( the beater POS daily driver) because one of my dogs thought it would be cool to poo inside it while I was inside the bank...then he made sure he spread it ALL over.:-\ I mean I call it a POS all the time but that doesnt mean its ok to do THAT inside it!

Lets See.

Few weeks ago me and a buddy did the rear disc swap on my DL.

A week after that i had to go back and finish up some LOSE ends that werent tightened on the brake job.:eek:

Last weekend i replaced the manofild gaskets where i managed to strip out a bolt hole:mad: so now that needs retapped.

Installed my yakama roof rack.

Been slowly working on rust issues. Really need to finish that up before winter.

Future projects.

Valve Cover Gaskets

Thermastat

Retap Exhaust hole.

Clean up pugs and repaint.

Finish rust project before snow falls.

Well:

In July '09 I added a 2" SRJ lift and 14" Pugs (Powder coated semi-gloss white) with BFG tires.

Just last weekend (Laybor day) I painted my front fenders again, Looks awesome now (All with rattle can)

Few years ago I added 4 260w Pioneer 4-ways into the front and rear doors along with a Pioneer Deck.

Added 2 6" Hellas on top onto my rack and two cheepies to the front bumper.

Some window decals (Thanks to Mick)

POR-15(ing) the entire under side of my car (Still in progress)

07' Timing belts, Oil pump w/ seals, cam carrier o-rings and seals,

08' New starter and Alt (Genuine)

'09 New mid-pipe (Genuine)

Things to come:

SRJ rear bumper with swing arm, D-rings, and 2" reciver

Cherry Bomb Turbo muffler,

Gonna replace exhaust manifold section with new (Genuine) mines falling apart,

Think thats it for now :)

-Tom

This morning: oil change, new OEM drain plug, and new filler cap. Evidently the OEM cap decided to give up its seal's ghost and vibrate off of the filler neck. Oddly enough, my '85 did exactly the same thing at about the same age.
