Fix for broken cargo cover notch
Durania replied to Durania's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI love you. I do have an immaculate cargo cover for a first gen legacy. I assume since it has the cut outs for the rear speakers. The one that is broken is for a gen 2. I got them both for free so I'm still in the green. I am toying with the idea of retrofitting the part over.

Fix for broken cargo cover notch
The part on the cargo cover that fits into the notch on the rear of the hatch when full extended has broken off. Does anyone have a suggestion for repairing this so it would fit into that point again. Thanks.

96 lego steering wheel on a 95 lego?
Durania replied to johnceggleston's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYou can find those security bits at some hardware stores. I found mine at the big lots. I applaud you for wanting to change the 95 steering wheel as I too, think it is goofy feeling and would love to swap it.

Swapping driver's seat, sedan to OBW
Durania replied to Rooster2's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThat is a new one to me. I would have figured they would have been a direct swap in. I have an 03 WRX seat in my 95 and it was a straight job aside from the buckle.

BRZ on car hauler being shipped in the midwest.
Durania replied to bheinen74's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThe local Subaru dealer(s) had a silver one in yesterday. I would like to test drive one but don't see myself having one as a daily driver. Hard to do much baby hauling in a coupe like that.

95 heater control backlighting
Durania replied to Spedtess's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXThey're all the same, minus the colored condom. The bulbs have been used for years. I've changed bulbs in my 95 Outback all the way to my 05 STi and they're still the same bulb. If I spent $20 bucks on bulbs that small, I would want someone to kick me in the face. $1.99 for a pack of two. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103780

Look what followed me home! (91 Legacy Build thread)
Durania replied to AdventureSubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXWow, that thing is immaculate. Looks to had a pretty clean engine bay too until the motor decided to commit seppuku. You should turn this into your build thread and document the motor removal and replacement with lots of pics.

Forester tophat removal?
Durania replied to AdventureSubaru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI used a craftsman dog bone wrench before I got air tools. Picture shown is standard. I found the easiest way is just to impact them off. Make sure the spring is compressed first. You also need to pay close attention to the way the conical washer comes off. Here is the walkthrough to do them on an STi and they are extremely similar. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/how-install/85672-complete-idiots-guide-spring-installation.html
