  1. Step away from the carb, please. If you really wanna...take a cable, a return spring, and a small parts kit. Hook it all up. Leave that vacume thingy off. Wala. Mechanical secondary. Doug Never mind.
  2. "Were these a factory option, are they rare, I love them!!" I don't know, they are around here. I had a set but they were mangled up. Came on an 88 Subaru from Canada. The headlight glass under them is pristine. They were a Subaru part and if I remember right, Lexan. Doug
  3. "that engine will be weak operating off of one barrel." I drove one like that for a while, until I discovered the vacume line had a big crack in it. Then,. Doug
  4. Hi, For a F.I. Justy, that seventy seven is OEM stock. Doug
  5. I don't know. They were in a car I bought. Doug
  6. Hi, Change that thermostat. You got your money out of it:). Doug
  7. Haven't tried these yet. Doug
  8. I remember a post about "vintage gas":). I'd clean the entire fuel system. Pull the injectors, inspect, o-rings, so on and so forth. "You don't need luck, if you're good".
  9. Well I haven't. And it done got my brain all rolled up.
  10. My two cents. At elevation, daily driver, EFI. When you go up, then go back down. For me, manual chokes, daily driver, they are a pain. Doug

Thanks Jerry. That would be 5750 rpm with the ECVT tranny...90 mph. That's the top speed, with the ECVT. It would out-run any EA-82 car that I've driven...up to that speed. I've been tempted to put one of my DR transmissions in it, with a different motor of course. I don't know of any Justy with a DR 5 speed in it. Anyone? About a lift. For the type of driving I do and the terrain, I don't need one. No big rocks to go over, lots of gas/oil well trails. Foothills to the mountains. It would effect the center of gravity to the negative, for me. Now, a boxer with a DR would go the other way on that count. I can only imagine low range WOT power shifts in this light-weight with a healthy boxer. On the other hand, I've been tempted to sell an old GM rig I have. Buy an LS all aluminum Corvette motor, Powerglide tranny. Cut the firewall. Straight front axle. I have a 31 spline 9" Ford rear end...drag strip. You get the picture. I don't know right now. Doug Edit: Just FYI. You won't see any antenna on that Justy. AC, radio, spare tire, jack, lug wrench, and more...all gone. When I'm driving it like that. Those are roll bars on top. Motorcycle battery too. All it's got to do is start the car.

Hey, I've got unfettered access to about 200 acres here. In the hills. Groomed motorcycle/atv trail kinda stuff. Long gravel roads, one a private campground. Anyway. This car has 71,000 actual miles on it. I suspect water pump seal failure. I knew it as the signs were all there. Screw it. That's why I've got parts cars. I beat on it. With those tires, like driving on marbles, full throttle. It was worth it. It's done. Doug
  13. del, If you would, pm me or something with more info, better pic of your avitar. Sincerely, Doug
  14. Hi Gary, I know what you mean. IMO, ABS is for people who don't know how to drive. You got it right, times when I want to lock them up. Hell, I'd grind the tires flat if I needed to. Doug
  15. Hey Mark, Can you take a picture of that? Doug
  16. Hi Mark, Yes, your Loyale has a pcv valve. Open hood, remove spare tire, look down behind the throttle body...on the back. Doug
  17. Hi, I value that "stop leak" about as much as "overhaul in a can". Your judgement is intact. It won't hurt anything, but your wallet. Will it fix the leak? No. Sincerely, Doug
  18. I bought three feet at NAPA. That hose was 8mm on a 86 GL EA-82 I got for a guy. NAPA BELTS/HOSE 5/16 INCH (8.0mm) HEATER HOSE MADE IN U.S.A. GL11066 Y2312. That's what is printed on it. But the OP wants a factory hose. Doug
  19. Well, just some thoughts I'm throwing out. I've never had success bleeding brakes on these cars without bleeding LF, RR, RF, LR. In that order. I have unhooked all hillholders, worthless to me. I gravity bleed every time. And that's been a lot of times. Doug
  20. Wow. Long story short. I have four Keystone wheels that were made in the 60's.One got ruined many years ago. For years I haven't been able to find another anywhere. I've searched high and low. Three wheels. Not much use except for two on the front and two different ones on the back, something like that. If it's available, consider buying a fifth one. Just in case. Doug
  21. I have shot them, I've never "played" the game. I'm thinking off road, paint ball, while driving Subarus. Doug
  22. Two humans ok. Cool. Sorry for your loss. That's racing. Doug
