  1. We had a tail light cause that issue on our 95 Impreza. Also check the wheel wells especially the passenger side for any holes. Water definitely gets flung up and into any holes in that area.
  2. I got your PM. As I recall they are the same. Only the cars from 80-81 and going forward are different. In the process of cleaning out storage and I'm sure I have one to sell , but see if maybe Subaru3 - Todd has one more handy. Mine are buried.
  3. Was a time when a bunch of us from this corner of the country would gather at the Barrens and hit the trails. Then over the years , some even hooked up with the Jeep gang. I'll be down there next month for the motorcycle races at NJMP. Ranger station on 206 in Atsion used to be the place to meet. Many good times had.
  4. I've worked on the Elan. It's tight with the straight four in it. Does the Europa share the same drivetrain? Forgive my lack of investigating. I've seen that "frame" the Elan sits on and if the Europa is the same you have a real challenge.
  5. Cool project. Always wanted one. My friend has a 67 Elan. I have no idea how you are going to make this work but I sincerely hope you do. My guess , if the boxer can work , would be that you're wanting to keep it rear wheel drive. Yes?
  6. These was a cam shaft gear on eBay for a while.
  7. Take what you need and run away fast. These same parts have been found and offered here and on ebay. Every time an old dealer stock shows up its all about the same items with little variance. You don't have time for more shipping on top of what you already have going on. It's nice to be nice but it's smart to be less nice in times like these. Let one of our other members take the lot - after you've gotten your needs. You and I , and a few others have already had the "thrill" of the hunt and catch. Let one of these guys get the tickle and relieve yourself of further suffering over something we would otherwise praise and glorify. That's my opinion. Good luck with it !
  8. Interesting. Hood opens unlike an ff-1. That's a 2 cylinder engine , I think I saw. Early Rex? I can't speak for those since they aren't US market.
  9. The way the plane flys. Lol I've got to hustle back. Yes, would have been great. I'll be back out. I liked the drive a lot thru the hills. Down here in the flat lands - hot.
  10. Firstly , WOW for life up in the north end around Flagstaff and Sedona. May have changed my future as an aging knucklehead. From Albuquerque west on I-40 was just magnificent!! Hit rt. 89a down from Flagstaff and it was a memorable ride to say the least! Flagstaff and that area does hold many Subarus !! I'll be around Tempe until Wednesday. Will check back but moosens at yahoo might get me quicker and I'll pass along a cell. # Getting my son settled for college. Cheers !!
  11. Does this ea71 have a water duct external ?
  12. Yeah that one you have was online before. I remember it with those wheels. Small shop/dealer in Idaho. I spoke with them back a couple years or more. The other one you're talking about I'm not sure of. There are a couple uncracked dashboards around. And I'm absolutely wanting to get parts to people and put money into my family. I'm busy these next couple of weeks but I'll be listing stuff like mad really soon.
  13. Nice score! That was for sale in the PNW as I recall.
  14. Original from an old dealer stock. Not for sale at this time. Yes , I have many bits for early Subarus but this month I have no time. Make a list of needs and send it to me. Also , check out Facebook - I am not a big fan of it but there are older parts being exchanged by a few people these days. Old School Subaru Group And - Classic Subaru Network . Best of luck ! There's more out there than ever for vintage parts.
  15. Maybe those early 1800's too? But the 1800's generally start the next style of pilot bearings.
  16. Aww man you mean you want me to ship stuff ??? Yes , I ship stuff. Recent Colorado shipments were a vintage radio console for 77-79 and Gen I Brat , and a vintage high rise center console for early 80's. So maybe you're in a lucky state. I'm holding off on eBay these couple of weeks past but will be listing more very soon. But avoiding eBay fees is a big plus. So I suggest if you own a 70's car or Gen I Brat to make your Wish List post within that thread. With one centralized thread it is then much easier for me to match parts up with owners. You are also welcome to send that list to me and I will add it to my phone now that it's so easy to collect such info that way.
  17. Storage is hell right now. I have a lot going on right now but let me know what you are looking for and maybe we can connect soon and sweat a lot. Lol moosens at yahoo really works well. But for PM here just click on my board name and the rest should be easy. Cheers! Paul
  18. I'd trust a junkyard or board member's stock. Those rarely go bad from my history with 2.2's with 4EAT's. Ill be parting out a 96 2.2 with 4EAT very soon if somebody doesn't hook you up beforehand. Mine is the next generation and might not be the same as the 90-94's.
  19. Before the mfg date of maybe Oct 77 or so they used the U joint axles. That large skid plate was an option. I have one too somewhere in my stuff. You said it was welded but it wasn't originally. It bolts to the tranny crossmember and the iron 2x4 front end protector like on my 78. Good luck with it ! One sweet front bar and plate there. To me that's worth easily $250 right there. Cheers!
