  1. Already put it in the "Subarus in Movies" thread :-p Tim
  2. They should be the same. The difference is between 2wd and 4wd. I often use an 84 wagon to get parts for my 86 hatch, just so I'm sure I get the right part. Later, Tim
  3. Have you concidered having them rebuilt??? I had a set from an EA82T rebuilt and it was about $25 each. Try calling a couple of diesel shops to see if they do it. Later, Tim
  4. When my hatch crosses the subby bridge, I will be building an EA81 Wagon. The hatch is fun and unique, but it has a lack of storage.
  5. Took about a day to figure out, but the guys at AZ couldn't get the GCK axle anymore so they subed out a Dur-a-last reman with a lifetime warrenty. Plus, I got back about $25 in price difference and core cost. So at this point I'm happy with the out come. I'll be really happy if this axle sees 100k. Later, Tim
  6. Thanks for the link but it apears to be a "search" type site. Do you have the specific vender that you bought from. Tim Edit: I think I figured it out thanks.
  7. I put a GCK axle on the Outback last July, put 11,000 miles on it and both the boots are shreaded:mad:  . I bought it through Auto Zone but they are having a had time finding another axle  . Stand by, more to follow........... Tim
  8. I'm gonna be at Ft Harrison for about 2 weeks in the begining of June. Let me know if you are in the area. Later, Tim
  9. I was PMing with Jim on this last night. He only did one side, would that make a difference as far a depth of the rotor and pads are concerned?????
  10. Man, that's just character marks :headbang: I'm almost afraid to ask but what did it cost for a wagon in that shape:confused:  Later, Tim
  11. For less then $20, the OEM cable is the only way to go on these. Check the adjustment, but if the cable is bad I'd recomend a Subaru cable this time around. Tim
  12. Hey Joe, (did you think no one would use it???) is there a specific Email addy to get it to the right person??? I think it would be cool if we all sent them an atta'boy. Thanks, Tim
  13. I bought one from here..... http://www.thrashdriveshaft.com/ Comes with replacable/greasable U-joints. Price included shipping Later, Tim
  14. I'd think you'd want to keep its ethnic roots and do a theme like this....... Just seems to make more sense to me. Later, Tim
  15. Yep, same show same commercial!!!!! Best commercial ever:headbang: . Some one has got to record it.... PLEASE:clap: . Later, Tim
  16. http://www.popularmechanics.com/blogs/automotive_news/4255284.html?series=51 Weird little car (I think in a good way ) Later, Tim
  17. That's about what I figured. Well, the next time I'm in Knoxville I'll Try again. You guy do have a beautiful state especially since I haven't seen green trees for about 8 months :-p Later, Tim
  18. I've bought three CCR motors. First was an EA82T that out lasted the car it was installed in and I ended up reselling it. The second was an EA81 for my hatch. It came with an immediate tick/knock. CCR was great in trying to resolve the problem, everything from sending parts to step by step instructions. The final out come was a replacement motor that has preformed perfectly. Motor three was an EJ25 for our Outback Wagon, 40,000 miles and not a peep. I say good people, good product and they stand behind it. Tim
  19. I'll be in Memphis this week, if your in the area and want to get together for coffee or just hang out for awhile let me know. I'll have a laptop with so post or PM. Later, Tim
  20. Happy birthday Mick. We're just a few days apart, might be a good excuse to get together for some spring wheeling some day:banana: Later, tim
  21. Those Louvers just trippled in price on Ebay . I can't even remember what a rust free under belly looks like, you got a great score on that one. Seems like the coupes are getting very popular, might need a www.ea81coupe.net site:banana:  ^^^^^ (not a real site, yet)
  22. I will also be looking at them. It's really amazing that people ask "why would you want to pay so much for diesel fuel"?? Um, because for an extra .60 to .80 cents I get to double my current milage:rolleyes: . Let's hope they come soon. Tim
  23. the "new" OEM oil fillters:confused:  . I thought my parts guy was playing a joke on me when he handed it to me. I'm just wondering how much filltering that little thing can do. It's about 50mm across and maybe 25mm deep. Oh, and still the same price . Later, Tim
