  7. IF it has automatic, it has EA81 IF it has EA81, it has automatic it is either late gen 1 or early gen 2 designating vehicle by engine type is a bad idea, considering an XT aclyone sp?? had EA71 stock in some countries drawbacks are few, mostly just old parts hard to find the wheels will fit
  8. will ea82 dist work in ea81?? I have available BOTH '85 carb AND '86 turbo - hot wire ea82 dist available what would need to be swapped? this is for my gl-10 turbo wagon repower with ea81 engine with ea82 carb and intake
  9. drain coolant remove airbox remove float chamber cover remove brass jets and plugs remove all remaining screws remove carb remove drain plugs, and jets behind the plugs if you turn carb upsidedown, a VERY small ball will fall out, remember where it goes scatter all parts around, find them, and throw them in the rubbish bin, install webber, adapter, and choke
  10. try it and "see" what happens defrost could be heat if you still have issues, I can see how mine is set up later
  11. you can use the "center" screw and clip-nut from the fuse box to replace the crappy one all "visors" I have seen come standard with writing in white ink on the bottom edge, left side, looks to be jap. character I did mine in the well lit and warm garage, 70*f and harbor freight led light the light is super awesome, and works great http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=94668
  12. you did not guide the plastic in the right direction, angle left side down and to the rear did you forget to remove the screws from the controller before removing the "visor"?? no need to remove the screws to hold in the fan switch, all connections can be disconnected easily when moving the visor, you flipped the "virgin" switch you should have seen 4 hoses marked 1 2 4, 3 is not labeled, think son of 666 in japanese mythology
  13. use PLASTIC splitting wedges for trees AFTER REMOVING all offending fasteners

  19. in picture 2 you should have the junction block as I described, but you only have the rubber tubes that lead to the servos A/C/Fresh Air is manually controlled by a lever to the left of the steering wheel, also by a thumb wheel for the right side vent we are not talking about the same system, the servo controlls recirc for max ac when ac button is pushed in all the way your system does not match because parts are missing did you remove the dash panel? what did you find??? the resin tubes go from controller to junction block if you want, call me and I can walk you through it! 515 577 5120

  22. heat / A/C out of the main dash vents is the "default" mode you need black "resin" plastic spaghetti straws to join the rubber tubes in the second pic at the junction block remove the dashboard trim, screws behind defrost, off on the right side, top and bottom corners, also for the left side, 2 screws under visor, and 2 screws under bottom edge be careful as all is fragile first one I had was rigged so it had constant defrost read here for more info: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6915&highlight=constant+sucking
