  3. ea81 series has a radiator ground wire from radiator to radiator support ea82 series does not have a radiator ground, but it is good to run one from thermostat housing to back side of radiator look for a hidden locking clip

  7. after fixing the exhaust leaks, I decided to take it out to see what it can do max speed 90 @4.5k '89 rx ft4wd d/r dif unlocked high range no wind ambient temp 45* unifilter intake 89 octane 10% ethanol otherwise stock shouldn't it go faster??? my '81 vw rabbit pickup diesel with ?50 hp goes 90, speedometer stops at 85
  8. easy way to remove crossover pipe is to hammer in the mounting tabs, raise front of car, remove whatever is still holding, let left side fall down, rotate, twist, slide, duck mine fell off one time for me

  11. the way to remove the plug is with the snapon special socket 6mm square, pmp406a, also fits brake adjusting screws, and lash adjusters

  13. oh, sure go ahead and do it the wrong way! there is a plug you are supposed to remove to instal correctly ea81 = 1/8 NPT ea82 = 1/8 bspt this topic has been discussed quite well
  14. do the "wd40 test" spray some wd40 onto a white paper towel, high quality like "rags in a box" then rub the paint and see if it shines up works like a charm!
  15. this time with INDUSTRIAL ENAMEL the rust keeps spreading, stripes were rust-oleum, paint looks kinda crappy, cracking will probably keep the color scheme with gloss white body, aluminum for the gray bits, and MF red for the stripes, and a gloss black hood current paint http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=44427 paint supplier http://vansicklepaint.com/mntvsinden.html about $20 a gallon at the farm store any idea how much paint would be needed? coverage is approximately 400-450 sq. ft. per gallon

  19. hood came from SOA, still has part # tag no clue where the cf scoop came from, but it works it's a cf scoop, you nit wit and the rx is mine, happily leaking oil, coolant, exhaust, hibernating until the snow
