  1. your best bet for cheap relays is to look in vw, audi, porsche, and other vag products, they fit nicely in pockets also a good source of fuses
  2. now go stick a weber carb with manual choke and ford air box on it easy rebuild! and if you want to be really nice to it, stick on a frantz
  3. keep the ea71 or find a ea71t, may want to convert to electronic distributor, and xt6 alt and a weber while you're at it the 4 extra hp you get from going to the ea81 is not worthwile
  4. if'n you want to clean up your exhaust, run e85 my favorite phrase: NON CATALYST
  5. the alt is externally regulated, and IIRC one of the ports goes into the fuel pump controller 11/79 ea71 wagon was converted to xt6 alt and ea81 nd distributor + weber carb
  6. DRIVE in the 3-5k range do NOT drive in 4x4 UNLESS you have ft4wd or are on loose surfaces remember to clutch and be going straight when shifting the 4x4 lever for fwd-4x4 be sure to clutch when splitting gears

  9. why do you want a snowplow on your subaru ?
  10. some type of pulse preventer, vibration dampner should be able to bypass it
  11. 11 = No ignition pulse 33 = Abnormal coolant thermosensor signal
  12. computer controlls duty cycle of fuel pump, while in "start" it is at 100%, otherwise it runs to maintain pressure as controlled by computer duty cycle if it's been sitting, let the "milkshake" blow out my bet is on the ecu being toast, and you can grab one from a xt6 supposedbly

  14. are you pulling off the front or rear cts? what year are you using flapper or hotwire maf you will also need tps and lambda
  15. please be more specific are you sure it was ea81? or gen 2 body style, 4 or 2 headlights, lifted or not and was it on a main road, hiway, or interstaste???
  16. when I cleaned tanks at the radiator shop, I used the power washer for inside and out, and if needed, they went in the boil out tank, then power washed again
  17. and what do I look for when parts are needed for a '80 ea71 wagon and why can't I find a NIPPONDENSO cap and rotor for a '83 ea81 distributor installed in the above ea71???? WHY is it all HITACHI??????? and another issue is for '85 wagon
  18. let me start off by saying I work at schuling hitch I have personally seen class 2 hitches installed on heep stranglers attached to nothing more than the "bumper" mounts with 4 bolts if you find a GOOD hitch shop that makes hitches, you are lucky! the '80 wagon has a class 1 rated for 100# tounge 1000# trailer

  20. if you want heavier, get yourself some metal of appropriate size, shape, weight, zip ties, hose clamps, and a couple rolls of chinese electrical tape, and have at it, works good, and lasts
  21. no, they aren't TURBO model uses a carbon sheet, and for the non-TURBO model a silicon-caoted asbestos calebz, wrong again!!!
