and on a previous ea81 my dad drove, one day it just died no spark, no run, his soulution was to throw parts at it, distributor, etc. problem: blown fuse -

I recommend the manual choke with a locking cable the weber makes a big difference on the ea71 -

something tells me you forgot to use the snap-on 6mm square socket use it to adjust the brakes and valves -

point gap .018 - .022 in or .45 - .55 mm dwell 49 - 55 year does not matter as long as it is a 2-wire system ea71 or ea81 will work ea82 will need to be modified http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25265&highlight=conversion -

I agree with nakidity personal experience: vw diesel 1.6 only used the bottom cover, kept out the rocks, with the top cover removed, was able to check condition of belt daily, and it was able to sling off the diesel and oil ea82 front covers removed prevented excessive oil buildup, and allowed for daily inspection naked allows roadside changes, always have a good rubber ready :-p -

the bosch CIS has been installed in a subaru before, search they are good systems, but air leaks will give you troubles SAAB used a similar system this link has good info : http://www.vectorbd.com/peugeot/bosch.html -

go naked and have tools, instructions, belts ready, back on road in a few minutes, less time than removing the covers -

just start using the E-85 I suggest starting with a 50% blend and working up BTDT!!!

IIRC, you should be able to make 15psi of boost!!! connect wastegate to turbo outlet, bypassing all of the computer controlled valves if you can, get ahold of E-85 and see what it does, it may suprise you even with bad gaskets and E-85 I was able to make high boost the diaphram or connecting rod for the wastegate may be different check your gaskets
