  4. you do NOT need one!! it just helps to reduce noise interference for the radio one end would go to coil -, the other end would go to ground the engine WILL run WITHOUT

  8. yes, in stock form they can power 6 speakers in the wagon, and they are: 1. above driver's knee 2. in the passenger "vent" above the glove box 3-6 are in each door IIRC but the dl may have only ONE speaker

  14. save yourself the hastle of getting new tires, put the rears on the front, fwd try a used tire dealer or ebay
  15. if you want to even think about any offroading, buy a older gen subaru with dual range that way you don't waste a nice vehicle to the branches! RWD is horrid FWD is ok 4wd is the way to go in snow, and it also makes it easier to do 70 on the gravel
  16. I doubt it, especially with "that" exhaust the guns and lights may make the testers take a second look :girn: it sure was cool to pass eyesore in the battle of the mud, mw2 why do I keep posting? I dunno :-p
  17. there may be four different fuel systems, carb, spfi, mpfi, and trubo if you stay with same fuel system, there should be no issue but if you change, example the gl10 is carb and the xt is turbo, you will have to install a computer, change fuel pump, and exhaust system there may be a difference in transmission, if one was fwd and the other is 4wd it could bring issues of clutch cable, starter, flywheel, clutch the simpler and similar both are, the smaller the number of cans of worms that have to be opened during the process
  18. adaptations may be minimal or drastic based on the fuel systems and transmissions of both donor and recipient could you be more specific? WHY do you want to do the swap??
  19. you don't really need shocks in the rear, especially in stock rusty, saggy condition, I even took the shock mounts out, they only made matters worse I have pictures!!
  20. sounds like you have two separate issues white smoke may be due to climatic conditions, humidity, driving through water, cold air and engine temp the grease may be a cv axle boot is bad, typical the clutch cable, either it works or it doesn't
