1. it is NORMAL to feel significant resistance while turning the wheel if you are stopped or moving slowly, it is MANUAL steering the noise may be the clutch cable hitting the steering shaft, very likely and common your WIFE needs to exercise her mite, or try a different technique 2. the problem is YOU DO NOT DRIVE ON HARD SURFACES WHILE IN 4WD IF you find it nearly impossible to shift out of 4WD, try driving up on a slight hill, set the parking brake, shift into reverse, and work the lever

subiemech85 replied to subiemech85's topic in Subaru Retrofitting
no, it is more than just clearing the dist you have to extend various wires, coolant temp, oil pressure, etc. swap throttle cable bracket remove and plug the bypass line that goes to the t-stat housing, reroute bypass lines remove the tab by said bypass line remove metal on alt bracket mix n' match emissions lines use ea82 upper rad hose, air box and other tidbits trust me, I've done it I did NOT do anything to the dist. quit HIJACKING this thread -

subiemech85 replied to 4RnrRick's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I'm not sure what the tray is, but when I had to drive in serious rain, I ran the hot air intake pipe from the warm air intake port of the air box to behind the carb, and set the vac line so it did not take in fresh air, ea82 -
an ea81 carb?? I'll see about that, they both have hitachi chokes, appear to have the same bolt pattern, and are made in JAPAN Only major preliminary differences is the float level window is 10x larger on the ford, and it uses a round air cleaner
