  2. the primary one is by the fuel pump, underneath the car in front of the rear drivers side wheel
  3. i know the GM alt swap is easy on a gen 2, and it is possible to put an ea81 alt on a gen 1, i`ll have to look around for a write up on this
  4. HOLY CRAP that reminds me how much i hate rust! it does pay to have them shipped from the PNW (about $500 for shipping) i bought a hatch here a couple years ago, and even the frame had bondo in it:lol:
  5. nice job man, it looks great, actually, it looks almost factory:brow: how does your alt. handle all the lights and extra speakers? is it still ok? i was considering a ea81 or gm alt swap on my 78
  6. i think i`ll take it and duct tape it to the side of my hyundai:lol:
  7. its been discussed: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49358&highlight=lo+range i wanted to do the same thing:brow:
  8. man i think you've gone off the deep end:lol: ............. Brat looks great btw
  9. i did 113 in my fathers forester, and that was a 2.5 non-turbo. it felt real stable at that speed too. (that was floored, and the gas cutoff point was also coming)
  10. i like the part where it says you can buy an ea71 with dual carbs and turbochargers for $600:lol:
  11. mudrat used to make ea71 gen 1 brat lifts. here are pics of a lifted rig:
  12. you won`t need a flat bed, unless one is available. just make sure it is in fwd mode and in nuetral if you are dollying it. even a towbar would work.
  13. come on up man! fly up, drive back with my 78 brat full of parts!
  14. Nice Work! the ladder rack looks cool too! wish i knew how to weld
  15. heres another one, but it has been on there a while: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/138383091.html
  16. i think that theory is a bunch of balogna but thats me. my uncle runs 87 in both his 2000 vett and 2000 benz kompressor super charged. he has never noticed a power decrease, and the milage stayed the same. with the amount he drives, it saves him alot by using regular grade gas.
  17. boy that poor brat:eek: what will it be turned into? a shorty brat would be awesome, so would a 4 door brat, but it would look kind of doggy being so long
  18. i`m diggin those roundies, they seriously look pimp:D don`t get mad if i copy you a little, sooner or later:lol:
  19. the ea81 was $400 or $600 but it ran. i am really in NY, but i have shipped a few soobs over from your side of the country. rust is a killer over here, so thats my only choice for a clean soob.
  20. congrats on the sube! its funny, i almost bought the blue ea81 wagon that is parked behind it in that pic. it was the same guy too.
  21. man i wish i could buy it:slobber: it would definatly be turned back to original specs if i had the $$ go for it Brian! i know of a mint dash for it in AZ it was free too, along with some seats and interior panels (all for gen 1 stage 1 coupe)
  22. that is just the begining of it, wait till you get the advanced version of the sube-sickness. NEED SUBARU!
