simple it is in the non soob section...should be in a semi-sube section

Do you think we have an addiction?
I still have too many cars. I am hoping to downsize soon.. So the non sube keeper is my 69 mustang. Then the Dakota..everyone in the family has a truck I don't need it. The neon is my DD for the moment. My brat my sedan two hatches and an 05 GT. addiction no but I would call it a bit OCD. I was very tempted to bring home another sedan a few days ago.

1983 Subaru gl wagon has high idle and chokes
electric and the write up will be in the usrm written by Jeszek / loyale2.7. It is written for a gen3 or ea82 but all the same steps are used for gen2. don't make it too complicated by trying to remove all the unneeded stuff at the same time.. Just do the carb then a few things at a time and it will be a lot easier. Mike

Some opinions on wheels for my car.
Honestly you can't go wrong with black or white.. They do go with everything.. Some stock wagon wheels and a little time with a sander, primer and a new coat of whatever color you wish would be the easiest to source and cheapest to pick up.

O.C.D.'s 1980 Brat - "The Squirrel"
Nice! I thought all that hard work was for you to enjoy not to unload.

Headlight trouble, '85 Brat
please do then maybe we can add it to the old gen database.

Black Box. Ea81 Firewall
It could be but I have never seen one like that.. I have a few in the garage. I responded in his build thread. It kinda looks like a valet box for some type of alarm system. All I can do is speculate without tracing the wires back to the respective ends.

My '86 Hatchback Build
It looks to be coming along nicely. Keep it up. I have an 87 out front and will take a peek but I am uncertain what that is currently.. none of my other cars have that. I think it looks like a relay of some sort or part of an alarm. Mike I went out and looked last night. No little box thing with wires..

Weber tuning questions - please read if you have a Weber!
Not fuel pump.. I was referring to my issue with the fuel pump control unit. I do not know if the gen 1 vehicles had them. That would be something Moosens might know and Caboobaru several others probably but those two would be my go to people to find out. If you dont have one and you still are not getting fuel then its pump or power.

They are not available to purchase except in junk yard. If you are good with electronics you could probably build a new one though and just reuse the housing and plug.

Old Gen Caravan to WCSS?
I am going to guess 8-10 but head count really doesn't matter we would be a group uneventful or not we got one anothers back. my wife and I are planning to be a part.. two seperate cars though. One old gen (me ) and one new gen. Sounds like Twitch may not make it but He is trying. I think there are one or two others from Idaho and whomever joins there group on the way through the east side of the mountains.. I hope they have a meet up point to go as a group instead of every person for themselves over there. The other Alternate keeps everyone off of I-5 till centralia .. Goes via mountain highway and head towards Randall head west from there. It is how my wife and I will be returning.. Sunday afternoon traffic always sux and it is fairly scenic.

I had that exact problem Jeszek beat me to it.. In my case there was a replacing of the fuel pump before I figured out it was the FPCU. I really don't know much of the gen1 stuff so if you have one I would check that after verifying whether you are gettig enough fuel. I had to jumper a wire so the pump is on all the time with a key. I also know that it is a hazard in case of an accident but it is not a part you can replace.

The Awesome Older Generation Picture Thread
I would happily give up the noisy weber for FI if I had the patience to do the swap correctly.

My BRAT Build Up Thread
Any bets on the dual ranges life expectancy? I will say he takes it off pavement twice before it pukes.

Suggestion. intended for everyone
Not room in the budget for a dedicated dirt road terror. Nor room in the driveway until I can vacate 3 or 4 cars and one or two kids.. But that sounds like it was worth the pain.

to swap or not to swap, that is the question..
Driving would be my guess!
-
to swap or not to swap, that is the question..
The only two I know of is Pooparu and Jacob... forgot the board name off hand but has a brat that gets used for rally-x. General disorder had a huge hand in making the brat happen and Pooparu is a perfectionist and a diy fab guy Do a little search and find a post from him and can see most of what he has done on cardomain.

COMING SOON DUAL AND SINGLE PORT EQUAL LENGTH HEADERS!
Yes we are! I do have a budget and cannot stray too far away from it . On the up side my wife told me if I get rid of a few cars and a truck I can put all the proceeds into my project.. I am not concerned about how much it costs me since I have zero intentions of ever selling it.

Rebuild 3AT?
Depends on what the parts cost you for a rebuild. The 4 speed is possible but not worth it in the long run ...a 5 speed would be better all the same stuff is needed and some creativity if you cant get a 5 spd conversion kit like Jerry's. plus a lot of time swapping things over like the pedal box, driveline shortening, a different trans crossmember etc.
