Toyota Inclinometer Installation
TheLoyale actually installed one of these in his car. And I actually have one to install as well. I haven't figured it out too much yet. But it will sit lower than it looks. When you set it on the dash, it sits on the mounting studs, so when those are recessed into the dash to mount it, then it will sit lower, but probably not low enough to still see the clock. Mine seems to fit to the right more than yours though. I was able to put mine so that I can still see the clock, and it will fit flat and level on the dash. I think it will involve putting some holes in the dash though. What do you plan on tapping into for the wiring?

lift with king springs
I bought a set from Primitive a few months back. I bought the standard height which doesn't lift. There are King lift springs too, both made for the EA82. The standard height springs will lift slightly, just because your stock springs are going to be old and tired.

lift with king springs
If you use the ones for lift you will need to drop your crossmembers and what not so you don't eat your axles.

lift with king springs
Yes it will effect the angle of your axles. But they do make standard height King Springs that won't provide the same amount of lift.

Group N mounts, EJ swap
I have heard that some people need to widen the engine mount holes in the crossmember when doing the EJ swap, so it could be just as simple as that. The Group N mounts are much stiffer so they might not have enough play in them to be persuaded into the existing holes.

Nice! I considered buying this, and wish I had after going through what I did trying to buy another EJ swapped car. Have fun with it!

Need 5spd dual range shifter bushings
They are the ones that are on the sifter linkage where it attaches to the tranny. I'll get a picture later and post it up!

Need 5spd dual range shifter bushings
Hmm. I'll have to ask the dealer. This is a 5spd, not sure if it's the same as 4spd. Also, I have no bushings at all in mine, someone removed them completely.

Need 5spd dual range shifter bushings
I am swapping a 5spd dual range tranny into my Loyale and the shift linkage I have does not have any bushings. Does anyone know where to get new ones? Or what fits? It's the bushings where it connects to the tranny at the end of the linkage arms.

2003 Subau WRX double syncros vs. reg.
bratman18 replied to tristanbru's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXJust out of curiosity why would you ever need beefy synchros for your transmission?? I can understand stronger gears, but why stronger synchros? If you're wearing synchros out that fast, than you're shifting way too hard.

Wrx manual trans.
Might want to try posting this in the new gen section instead of the members journal section. Someone should be able to give you advice.

Well I found another project EJ22.
bratman18 replied to darsdoug's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXYes but if they have an OBD2 port, and you can plug an OBD2 reader into them, then they're OBD2.

Well I found another project EJ22.
bratman18 replied to darsdoug's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXAnd OBD1 stopped in 94. A few 95 models may have had it, but that's it. So that's the not the difference between phases. As said above, they redesigned the EJ22 in 99 and that's when the phase 2 came out. Although I do think some 98's had the change as well.
