  1. Very nice. I miss mine a lot. A full 6 spd drivetrain and STi everything makes these very fun!
  2. Yeah I don't know why the AGX's don't last. Some people swear by them, but I'll pass on something that wears out that quickly. The GR2's are a good long lasting strut.
  3. Thanks for the diagram Chris. The bushings are all in good shape. I'll have to see if I can improve it with those bolts.
  4. The passenger side rear wheel on my 4" lifted loyale is tilted out at the top. Noticeably more than the drivers side. I know there is very little adjustment back there but what would cause this? What would fix it?
  5. It does get that bad up here. Seen it many times, but I used to work in a Subaru specific shop for a few years, and have worked on a lot on my own time as well. I have seen several veteran mechanics use the tighten first method, and been successful with it.
  6. General Grabber is a good strong all around tire. I have run them in a couple different sizes on a couple different cars and they wear well and hold up to a lot.
  7. Very nice! I know all about that salt crap. My newest Loyale won't be driven in the winter for that reason.
  8. Now do you have an Impreza Outback Sport, or Legacy Outback? If the title is correct and you have an Impreza Outback Sport, then the struts for a TS will be the same. You could also use any 02-07 WRX strut. The valving will be slightly different, but same dimensions. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Impreza-WRX-KYB-Shocks-Struts-Front-and-Rear-Excel-G-02-05-04-sti-/190727704048?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2002%7CModel%3AImpreza&hash=item2c6841cdf0&vxp=mtr KYB is a good choice. I used AGX's once, and they blew in less than a year with just slightly more abuse than daily driving. But GR2's are a good solid choice.
  9. Lol. Do you guys really think he is serious?? Looks sweet though!
  10. They will fit 02-07 impreza as well. They all have the same top hat bolt pattern.
  11. The rear brakes will bolt on but your 86 brat is an ea81 chassis.
  12. I would say the connectors. Sometimes heat builds up and causes a bad connection. Then more heat builds up and it gets worse over time. I also had very bad luck with sylvania silverstarts. I went through 2 sets in a few months.
  13. As in, adjust your tie rod ends. That's where your toe is adjusted. So toe the front of the tires outwards and it'll help even out the wear.
  14. Could be a seized caliper that is sticking and causing heat build up. It would explain why it comes and goes, and the shaking when you hit the brakes.
  15. The number of bellhousing bolt holes doesn't matter. Just use the 4 that the phase 1 motor would have. It has been done many times with no issues.
  16. It definitely helps to toe your tires out a bit after lifting. The camber is terrible on the cars to begin with, and slightly worse after lifting, even with camber correct blocks. But I've never had a huge issue with it.
  17. 99 Outbacks came with a phase 2, 2.5 block, and the DOHC heads from the factory.
  18. Yeah I know the bushing will rip eventually. And no, I didn't do anything to any linkage. Everything shifts perfect, never hits on anything, and no issues at all. Not sure what kit is being used by the OP, but the one I am using dropped the engine crossmember 4", and the tranny crossmember about 2 1/2". So maybe that's why?
  19. My 4" lifted loyale with dual range is using all stock shift linkage. Nothing hits, shifts perfect. I was anticipating having to modify but was pleasantly surprised when I didn't.
