3rd gen LEG and BAJA hoods/headlights differences?
bratman18 replied to Gloyale's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI knew a guy that put a Baja hood on a 3rd Gen Legacy just for having a hood scoop. He never said anything about having any fitment issues, but I guess that doesn't mean there weren't any.

EJ22 Swap to GL trannmisson question.
Lol I always get a kick out of your posts. This info can e found in the retrofitting forum in the EJ swap thread for sure. But yes, you use the clutch the goes with the transmission, so the EA82 5 spd 4wd clutch kit. The XT6 kit has better clamping force though. The whole reason behind using a redrilled and resurfaces flywheel, is because you need the EA82 flywheel, to bolt onto the EJ motor.

HEAD LIGHT CONNECTOR PROBLEMS
bratman18 replied to IMPREZA425's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXUse pliers or something small to get into the plug and squeeze the terminals back together so they have a tight fit against the connector that comes off the bulb. Then put some dielectric grease into the plug.

Snow
I'm not buying that it's high centering on 6-8" of snow. I took my 98 Forester with snows through 4' (feet) of snow, up a 30+ degree slope, for at least 200 yards (my driveway) last winter, and made it to the top without issue. While that does have more ground clearance than a stock Loyale, I still should have high centered with that much, yet I didn't. I had to stop 3 times in fact, to clear a foot of snow of my hood and windshield so I could continue on to make it to work for power restoration.

Snow
I was going to say, must be some pretty bad tires, or maybe just some worn all seasons? I have usually found my Subaru, any of them, out drive any SUV or pickup in the snow.

questions on lifting my 95 legacy sedan
bratman18 replied to cymbri's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSame here, and from my experience, you don't notice any worse handling with the Forester struts and no or small rear sway bar. I daily drive this combo, along with a lowered car, and another lifted old gen.

Rarest Old-School Subaru Part or Option?
I had a switch like that, with the matching under bumper lights once. I had them in a 92 Loyale I had. Wish I'd yanked that stuff out of it before I sold it.

Improve low end torque
I'm sure that it's like any turbo, and that a good tune will help with what you're after. And there's a good chance that a better flowing exhaust would help as well. Just make sure you have it tuned after any modifications. But a good tune, even at stock level will help alone.

my 92 loyale build
That's the issue I had as well. I gave money ahead of time, and still waited 8 months without even getting a pic. I was always told he was busy with walk ins etc. It's too bad it goes that way. :/

Body part interchange

2007 Outback 2.5 SOHC head leaking oil?
bratman18 replied to kpagel's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXJust because they claim the head gasket issue was resolved, doesn't mean it was. I have seen and heard of a bunch of newer ones with the same head gasket issue as the earlier ones. Good chance that's what it is. Could be valve cover gaskets too?

Body part interchange
As long as they are both the same chassis code. Like either ea81 or ea82.

I'm not looking for a whole lot for it. I'd need your zip code to check on shipping.

periodic blinker freakout 83 brat GL
It does that whenever there is a bad bulb, so if it's doing it periodically, I'd say there's a bad connection, most likely at the socket where the bulb sits.

Forester struts for 92 Legacy
Especially if you use 98-02 Forester springs on your Forester XT struts. They are a little longer, so they compress a bit more in the strut and hold the rear end up a bit more.

TomRHere's '88 GL 4WD Wagon
Within a month I'll have the just about brand new NGK wires off of my EA82 that I can sell you to save you a few bucks. I'm going to be doing an EJ swap soon.

Welcome! I have a rear sliding window I'd sell.

Forester struts for 92 Legacy
That's somewhat common. If you can find some saggy butt spacers that fit your rear top hats, they would help even it out.
